Seared foie gras at a restaurant in Paris that we stumbled upon. I won't name it here because it'll be ruined...

God this board is so predictably western and white bread.

Nothing from the middle east, Africa, Asia, south America? This totally explains all the stuffiness of this board.

DH and I went to Amsterdam, got really high and got Wok to Go. Nothing special but I remember it being the best noodles I ever tasted. We still talk about it.

Fried chicken in Wales (but mostly because we were starving and very drunk)

Ice cream in Budapest-such different flavors than in the US and they shape it into flowers in the cone

Congratulations - you wasted Barcelona. Wrong cuisine.

I do feel sad for people who can only view life solely through the prism of racism. Just let people be and enjoy the world they want to.

If your foot wasn't so far up where the sun doesn't shine you'd notice that despite Europe being the subject of the thread a number of popular foodstuff mentioned have their origins in other parts of the world.....

Super fresh, simply prepared fish on an island in Croatia.

Vegan mushroom goulash in Czech Republic

Pecorino and truffle oil in Tuscany. I mean everything we ate in Italy was good but i just loved trying all the different pecorino dog various origins/ages. And I’ve never had truffle oil that good before.

In college: accidentally ordered cow brains in France. That was memorable (!!), but also the French restaurant that surprised us with a turkey dinner on Thanksgiving. We were so homesick, we cried.
