When will you guys learn that after you keep claiming to have found a "smoking gun" which fizzles out, it is difficult to take the latest revelation seriously or a game changer. If one gave credence to all of your past claims, Trump would have been impeached and removed from office last summer. Remember all the crap about Trump being in a state of dementia and needing to be removed using the 25th Amendment and how about those multiple psychologists who signed a letter saying that Trump was mentally unbalanced?

When wishful thinking takes over from realistic and objective assessment of the facts, it makes it difficult to take some of these conclusions seriously.

I am not a Trump supporter but about the only thing about this latest revelation is that Trump probably lied when he said he did not know about Cohen paying Daniels .......... but Trump lies constantly and it has not affected his support among Republicans - which is all that matters.

So much for ethics mattering eh?

Ethics may matter to you and me ...... which, btw, is why I could not bring myself to vote for either Trump or Hillary. They are both wanting in that regard.

But there are really two points that matter when it comes to this or any other revelation regarding Trump: does it matter to Republicans and independents and how significant is the revelation in terms of any exposure that Trump has legally.

Most people who rant about Trump, his ethics, his other foibles, etc would never vote for him if he were the reincarnation of Jesus himself. They are locked into their position of being anti-Trump and are just grasping for some piece of news that they think will be a game changer.

Who cares about his sex life - not me. But by taking this attitude you Republicans have forever lost your voice to opine on the sex lives of others whether Democratic politicians or everyday Americans. No more governing based on supposed biblical principles. Get your laws out of our bedrooms and off our bodies.

What’s at stake here are the standards of ethics for our politicians. Trump is destroying the rule of law and democratic ideals. You are excusing his breaking of laws, thereby showing us your acceptance of a thug as your leader.

That you can say the bolded with a straight face is amazing. A KKK member, a man who literally killed a woman, a rapist, a woman who gave Pakistanis access to our classified info, a man who paid off a terrorist organization, a woman who laundered millions through her foundation. Look in the mirror

Please show where the Clinton's ever made a penny from their foundation.

I don't know who the KKK member is, but at the moment, the GOP IS the KKK party.
Is the man who literally killed a woman Ted Kennedy? If so, I agree with you there.
And the Pakistani's, if that is w/r to the DNC, then it is the DNC classified info, not the US classified info. I think you meant to say how Trump gave Lavrov classified info in the Oval Office.

Wait I can't tell - are you calling out Republicans and independents who don't care about Trump's utter lack of ethics? It seems to me you're louder about your condemnation of "anti-Trumpers" who are "locked into their position...and just grasping for some piece of news..."

Personally I think it's those who don't blink an eye at all the revelations of Trump's lawlessness that needs to be condemned.

p.s. Trump's complete lack of decency and any standards of ethics are light-years more egregious than HRC's garden variety politicianing. False equivalency. it's a tired old yarn and you need to focus now on how our country is being degraded this very moment by the current regime.

Yes. I expect her presser will be eye popping.

I see what you did there! You're as sharp as a lawn dart!

You have to be careful with lawn darts or you can take an eye out.

Why did Giuliani make the disclosure last night? Not because he is incompetent or out of touch as the guy said in the link. He disclosed it because Mueller is aware of it and the Trump legal team wanted to make the disclosure before it came out in some leak.

Oh lordy, you really want to go into the challenge of which party has the least ethics? Shall we parade out all the Republican hall of shame politicians for you?

No, apparently Trump's lawyers have no idea what went on between Trump and Cohen about anything because our President, the Leader of the Free World, won't tell them what was taken by the FBI in the Cohen raids.

Does any of this constant drama ever get to the point where it's enough of a distraction to justify that Trump can't adequately focus on actually being POTUS?

Trump is not an ethical person ...... no great revelation there and given that I know a fair number of people who voted for Trump, they had no illusions that he was an ethical person. As far as Trump's ethics compared to Hillary, it is in the eye of the beholder: ask most Trump supporters and they think she was the devil incarnate. For me personally, they were both ethically challenged.

My point is that there is nothing in the latest revelation that should come as a surprise. Seriously, did anyone really think that Cohen paid this money out of his pocket without any expectation that he would be reimbursed in some form or the other? Did anyone really believe that Trump was unaware of the deal with Daniels? Now is it illegal and if it is, does it matter to his supporters/Republicans?

I voted for Bill Clinton both times and I did not care about his lying under oath about Paula Jones not because I am ethically challenged but because I never doubted for a moment that he was probably guilty of all the Paula Jones accused him of doing. But I thought he was a good president and I did not care about his personal life.

Feature, not a bug.

Rudy. Rudy. Rudy. Now the president can’t remember whether he paid off Stormy? This amount of BS coming out of the White House is unsustainable.

Rudy asserts Trump paid Cohen approximately $460,000 to be a fixer. And yet Cohen had to use $130,000 from his HELOC to pay Peggy Peterson? Doesn’t pass the smell test.

Everyone who voted for Trump knew what they were getting. They knew he wasn’t the most clean and moral person. They also know he’s not a politician and that’s why they voted for him Republicans can still take the moral high ground if they so choose. Just because they decided to vote someone in to break up the status quo doesn’t mean they’re not for morals. You have to remember this was the first presidential candidate to openly support gay marriage while others such as Obama and Hillary Clinton refuse to do so during their campaign.
