I was coming to post this song. This song not only makes me cry, but makes me feel guilty as $hit for all of the times I am 'too busy' to do stuff with my kids. I actually refuse to listen to it because it depresses the hell out of me.

- the guilt of a working mom

+1, that is the saddest song ever.

You Can Close Your Eyes - James Taylor

They both remind me of my grandmother who unexpectedly passed away last year. If you listen to the words, you will know why I chose them.

Aww I love James Taylor

I Can’t Make You Love Me...oh man, water works every single time. Even if it’s a cover. I was damn near bawling at a Boyz II Men concert when they covered it.

A girl in my high school class sang this at our graduation, accompanied by a guy on acoustic guitar. It was so haunting and perfect for the occasion, though it had all of us in tears.

Such a pretty song, but the lyrics are so bittersweet.

Other songs that do this to me are "I hope You Dance" by LeeAnne Womack, "Sand & Water" by Beth Nielsen Chapman and "At 17" by Janis Ian. Oh, "and, "who Wants To Live Forever," by Queen

Omg. Castle on the hill does it for me as well. Especially the end where he talks about his friends.

+1. I love the line "these people raised me."

Annie's Song and For Baby, For Bobbie by John Denver.

The first one reminds me of my husband and the second of my dad.
