Technology has its pitfalls. A coworker found his wife was cheating because of the DIY home security system they had.

The husband set up a few Nest-type cameras around the house and driveway and set alerts if motion or sound was detected. His wife knew about them but apparently ignored them after theyd been in place for a year or so.

Wife comes home mid morning with a coworker, my coworker gets an alert and proceeds to hear his wife get screwed by her coworker. They also reminisced about trysts they had on work travel.

What an awful way to live. I suspected my ex dh was sleeping with a coworker but he was very good at gaslighting me and I really questioned my gut instinct. However, between my suspicions and his coming home in the early morning hours on a regular basis, we separated without my having any hard evidence. I just could no longer tolerate living that way and the stress affected the type of parent I was to our children. No real surprise but I later learned that he was living with the coworker I suspected as his affair partner. Honestly, it was so hurtful but the first words I said were "I wasn't crazy." No way would I ever again accept that type of emotional torture and abuse. Good luck to you and I hope you find peace.

No pitfall there. He needs to be thankful he didn't stay with this horrible person for years. With evidence there's no guessing, much easier to move forward.
