You can easily commute from Fayetteville (30-40 mins each way), which is a university town and has a street (Dickson street) which is walkable with bars, restaurants, shops, etc. I know people who do that because they enjoy the environment of a college town vs. company town.

A person's experiences are also processed and internalized specific to each person. Doesn't meant your perceptions are factual.

Yes, racism and narrow-minded right-wing provincial attitudes of others and their words and actions are just others' "perceptions." They don't exist at all in your experience, so they can't be "factual."

No one said there aren't racists and narrow-minded people in this world; but it's true that everyone's past, personality, experiences, etc form a lens through which we process and internalize information and experiences. You are being very dismissive of people from another state and indicating that everyone there is racist and narrow-minded. That's not factual.

Your logic is terminally twisted.

Count me in!

Here is your front porch: https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/102-NW-3rd-St_Bentonville_AR_72712_M83714-31049#photo18

and just a block from the adorable town square (I've been there - it really is super cute) and the Crystal Bridges walking trail (down to the world class museum). Perfect! (well, except for the price . . . )

Leader in the CPG space -- you can then get other jobs in the CPG space in other locations. If the job is something like in house lawyer -- also yes -- firms love courting ex-WMT people bc they view it is an in to getting even a small % of WMT's business.

There is a Jewish community there -- amongst the WMT transplants. From what I've heard WMT transplants are like an ex pat community -- all living in the same areas, socializing together, kids in the same schools etc. -- so your day to day social interactions are not all that different from the east coast.

NO!!!!!! We are a jewish family that lived there. WORST YEARS of MY Life. No it is nothing like the east coast-we live in Boston now and there is nothing comparable. The schools are terrible, there are very few restaurants, church is central to life there, very little cultural experiences. Do not do it.

I can see why you'd have a difficulty time adjusting to a new place.

I wish someone was honest with us before we moved there. Sorry if you are offended but it is the truth. We have lived all over the country and I am from Eastern Europe, it is not about new places, it is about living in a place where you have nothing in common with the dominant culture.

that doesn't sound diverse, sounds really insular.

Arkansas is just a state to travel through so that I can make my way across Oklahoma to my favorite county there (and my windmills). Once I see my Oklahoma sign, I'm only a few hours from my favorite place to be in the summer.

Hello, My name is Ruby Poole and I am a REALTOR that specializes in the Bentonville real estate market. I have been in the area for 20 years and I absolutely love it. I have worked with clients from all over the country that have chosen to move to Bentonville for various reasons.

The Northwest Arkansas area is a bit more progressive than the rest of the state. The growth in the area is phenomenal. Bentonville is growing more diverse with a focus on growth, arts, nature, trails, education and community. Here are some useful links:

-Check out Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art-- https://crystalbridges.org.
-Modern Art Museum "The Plant" - Coming soon. https://talkbusiness.net/2016/07/the-plant-at-crystal-bridges-in-downtown-bentonville-designed-to-deliver-art-of-your-lifetime/

There is so much that I would love to share with you about the area. I would be happy to answer any questions you have. Feel free to email me at rubypoole@kw.com.
