| I'm from the deep South, live in DC with similar demographics to OP, and wouldn't do it. |
| Hell No. My one friend quit. Couldn't take it. |
| I would not consider that move. Having lived in Bentonville briefly 15 years ago, yes, there are a significant number of transplants with whom you would fit in socially, but there are way more locals than transplants and in the current political climate, I believe things are probably worse now for a family with your profile rather than better - and it wasn’t fantastic 15 years ago. Trump won Benton County decisively in 2016. Most people there are not like you. They may not be openly hostile, but you will be an outsider. |
| Absolutely not. |
|
Absolutely.
Great town, great quality of life in the heartland. |
| Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo. |
| You could be neighbors with the Duggars! |
|
I just spent about 3 minutes looking at real estate, the art museum, and yelp.
So...yeah. SIGN ME UP. |
| Looked it up. Excellent schools, dreamy housing options. Yes I would. All day, everyday. |
Girl. Sign me the f*** up! |
| OP, please tell us all how we too can move there. I’ll go jogging on those trails with you, and then we will drink mint juleps on the porch. |
Well, that's a shame. There are many families just like yours right here in Georgia. |
Why are you on DC URBAN MOMS? Just to spread your racist poison? I lived in the Deep South with similar demographics. I would not do it. No need to be in a place where your little kids will internalize racism. No thanks. |
