Be careful who you let buy your homes kids

They've got baby registries all over indicating they had a kid in late summer. Ouch, that's some timing to have your home seized.

The exterior of that house was the pattern for a lot of the townhouses that went up as part of the Market Common development.

(I used to live in the area and attended a presentation where they were incredibly proud of how visually harmonious it was going to be, and I thought it was pretty lazy of the architects to do that. I told a friend from Chicago, where the developers are from, and he said they'd built a mall patterned after the Lawn at UVA. I guess shortcuts are the way to wealth?)

It's such a special house. What a shame it's been tainted by those ugly people.

But yes, I know what you meant.

What do you mean they subdivided the lot? They used to own more land around the house which they sold off?

Years ago. The owners from the early 2000's had the entire lot next door where a new house now stands. I can't remember if they subdivided and sold the lot and then a few years later sold this house or if a developer bought it all and built one new house and renovated this one and resold it.

Wow early picture shows early lot next door.

Sold for $1.90 million in 2012 and now valued at $1.62 million? Guess there's no need to pay attention to how much an Arlington house is really worth when you're paying with dirty money.

Doesn’t make her entitled to profits of his money laundering.

Agreed. Still, it's sad for her.

Nope. She knew what daddy did and where the bodies are buried.

This is a seriously prime location. My friends live in the condo building just a block over, I walk by it all the time. It's rare to have such a large SFH that close to the amenities. I honestly wouldn't trust any online valuation tool, as there's very few legit comps to this house in any given year.

Manafort had offered four properties to secure his bond, including the Alexandria condo, a property in Arlington, Virginia, and two properties in Manhattan. One of those is an apartment in Trump Tower.

Looks like he's trying to get out of house arrest and using the Arlington house as collateral.

Looks like this one was saved and the Trump Tower condo was forfeited instead.

This says he is losing the Arlington house in the plea deal:

Paul Manafort To Lose Arlington Home In Reported Plea Deal
The former Trump campaign chairman reportedly will have to give up an Arlington house as well as homes in New York and the Hamptons.

Just a sad circumstance, it appears. But I could see tremendous interest in a potential auction. When amazon comes to Arlington or DC that house will clear three million.
