Be careful who you let buy your homes kids

This makes me sad. I've always loved this house. It's almost impossible to find a home of this age and in good condition in Arlington. I hope someone nice buys it and loves it. I will be so sad it it gets torn down. Where are you HALBR?!?!

So if it actually sold for $100K under asking price then magically increased $300K shortly thereafter as someone has suggested - wonder if that was another bit of getting money to some operative.... e.g., Russian connection buys home for $1.9 and flips it to someone for $2.2 a short time later ... could be a way to pass $300K on?

It seems like there’s a pretty good chance she knew the money was dirty. Remember her hacked texts about “blood money”? https://www.politico.com/story/2017/02/manaforts-u...ed-qualms-hack-suggests-235473

“In one March 2015 exchange that appears to be between the two sisters, Andrea Manafort seems to suggest that their father bore some responsibility for the deaths of protesters at the hands of police loyal to Yanukovych during a monthslong uprising that started in late 2013.

“Don't fool yourself,” Andrea Manafort wrote. “That money we have is blood money.”

In another hacked exchange a few months later with someone else, Andrea Manafort wrote that her father’s “work and payment in Ukraine is legally questionable.””

All of this. You can't accept blood money and not run the risk of the feds coming for it eventually.

+1 Manafort's home was raided in July. The daughter knew this was coming.

Could be. Looks like they renovated the attic in between the one listing and the Redfin listing. But they could still pad some extra money in there.

Not a big deal.. I'm sure he has plenty of other offshore accounts for himself and his kids. So they lose a house, big whoop. I'm sure they have plenty of money stashed away. I won't lose any sleep worrying about these "poor" people..

Blood money wedding. How many Ukrainians protesting for their freedom were killed by Manafort's patron, Yanukovich?

I hope she loved her Pintrest-worthy gala. Pretty gross to see these people "play house" with a $2m house, multiple hundreds of thousand$ wedding, etc.

It belongs in politics.

So we can all drool over the house?

It's such a special house. What a shame it's been tainted by those ugly people.

Not all of them are ugly, her husband is kind of adorable.

But yes, I know what you meant.

What do you mean they subdivided the lot? They used to own more land around the house which they sold off?

Seriously disgusting. Can't believe her phone was hacked like that and got years worth of texts with her sister. Pretty damning.

How is it political? It's about real estate and someone accused by a federal grand jury of a crime, including conspiracy against the United States. These are facts. There's nothing actually political about this.

They're linked above unless some has more updated pics

It's got a huge interior which I'll say is a nice point. Don't like much else about it.
