It's such a special house. What a shame it's been tainted by those ugly people.

But yes, I know what you meant.

What do you mean they subdivided the lot? They used to own more land around the house which they sold off?

Years ago. The owners from the early 2000's had the entire lot next door where a new house now stands. I can't remember if they subdivided and sold the lot and then a few years later sold this house or if a developer bought it all and built one new house and renovated this one and resold it.

So daddy bought them a $2 million house which they've been able to live in mortgage free for a year or two? They should count themselves lucky and should easily have a ton in savings at this point to purchase another home where they need to carry a mortgage like most of us.

Dad probably dropped a million on the wedding too: https://weddingstylemagazine.com/inspiration/real-weddings/andrea-manafort-christopher-shand

What’s the source for this alleged house matter?

Try five years and I'm willing to bet they have zero savings. A) Because she just got her first job out of law school last year, and B) No one like that ever thinks the money will 'run out'.

It’s really hard for me to find sympathy. I don’t see how his ADULT children could be unaware of his sketchy business dealings.

Benjamin Freed of the Washingtonian

And the indictment that was publicly announced yesterday

How old is his daughter?

Wow I'm kind of surprised she is still taking money from him and letting him pay for weddings and houses.

In an email that was part of the unsealed documents yesterday, she informed her sister that she knows their father created a revolt that led to people getting killed in the Ukraine.

Here is real 1.8M home

The exterior of Andrea Manfort's home is way nicer and more classic. I am sure she pumped a ton into renovations too.

They are very attractive and cute together in those photos. Not what I was picturing based on this thread, but reading the Politico article, I do give her credit for being clear eyed about her dad's failings. Glad I didn't grow up with such a corrupt parent.

If she's so cleared eyed, then why did she accept the money for the house and wedding? Doesn't that make it worse in a way, that she knows exactly who he is and what he does for a living?

That's a fair point, obviously, but I bet your perspective gets pretty warped if you grew up in that kind of world.

How embarrassing for them now that all their friends and colleagues know the daddy paid for their house entirely. I think it would be kind of humiliating to show up to work knowing that all your colleagues know how you got your house and what a kept man you are
