Body Like A Back Road

I think if it were 'country road' it would make more sense.

Clean, curves, beautiful, invigorating, natural, comfortable etc.

Backroad makes me think of gross things too. Like when you drive through WV and see people chipping coal on the side of the road to burn at home. Lots of garbage in peoples yards, trailers, etc.

Yet, "body like a country road" doesn't have the same musical appeal and alliteration that "body like a back road" does. Which is what separates this type of song from more mindless crap that unfortunately gets so airplay. You can't just substitute any word in for the lyrics.

And yet, the point of this whole thread. The song rises above the standard. So roll them eyes all ya want.

If you live in the country, you say back road, not country road.
Awesome song but I change the station when the kids are in the car.
Was surprised to hear it on Disney radio. Disney has become sexualized- or is that a new thread?

Does Disney sanitize the lyrics like Kidz Bop or something? Although the whole song is pretty sensual/slutty it would be hard to make a clean version.

Country Roads starred in great songs by James Taylor and John Denver.

Yes, there have been great songs about country roads. And now we have a crazy popular song about a back road.
