Love when country music comes up on dcum bc I want to talk about it but don't know if ppl will even respond.

YES, we need to meet every 3-6 months to discuss country music men, because no one else will talk about this subject with me.

That's it. I'm going to put it on my calendar! See you in a few months.

Agree Eric Church is the real deal as well. And I'm another who cannot understand Aldean's appeal. On any level.

Love you like a wrecking ball............dayum. Totally talented and I was shocked when I saw him live about 4 years ago how much edgier/ rock/ harder he plays in person than on his first few studio albums.

Yeah that's awful. I saw Luke Bryan, FGL, Blake Shelton and Cole Swindell. Are there others? Aldean earns a spot for sure.

Agree. It's a catchy tune, but the lyrics really are trashy. Besides - who would want their body compared to a bumpy, pothole-filled, dusty back road?

Curves

I know that's the intent, but that's not what comes to mind.

Then you have never driven a back road.

I actually live on one!

15 in a 30, I Ain't in no hurry, I know every curve like the back of my hand..."

Agree. I think backroad and I think dusty, bumpy, unsafe, dead skunk, old timey fridge laying out there on the side of the road, confederate flags and at some point it peters out to nothing except for the hillbillies who know which turns to take to their 'hollers'.

It's like 'clean as a whistle' -when someone uses that it always gives me pause.... well a whistle is full of random peoples layers of dried slobber- not clean as far as I'm concerned.

You need therapy and should try some meditation.

Btw they are not talking about a whistle. They are talking about the sound that comes out of a whistle.

What a truly bizarre way of looking at it. It's obviously a compliment unless you are a crazy person

So dirtbaggy and yet aspirational pseudo-romantic. I'd hide my genitals/close early/pull down the window shade/lock up/burn some incense and pretend to be a lamp if the writer/singer/dude like this entered the room.

Doesn't this music smack of trying too hard? seem a little greasy? like the B-side requisite "girlfriend song" on 80s rock albums? or make you want to stab your tympanic membranes?

Really? No way. I will take this a million times over being called the b-word or many modern day passive aggressive songs like "love yourself" by Justin Bieber. This is a beautiful song, and way better than the usual trash women get (And "Lips of an Angel" is absolutely a totally different kind of lyrics)

Check out Jackie Lee. And Dan & Shay is the best show I've ever seen. They are amazing live.
