| GET OUT OF MY HEAD!! Thank you. |
| Is it bad that my 4yo is obsessed with this song? |
YAS, but Better than my 4yo obsessed with 'closer' and 'shape of you'. |
Closer by NIN? Or is there a new one? |
Closer. The Chainsmokers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PT2_F-1esPk |
| My 4 and 6 yr old kids sang along. |
| It's pretty catchy for a country song. You know, I really like the other Sam Hunt song, "Take Your Time" - the one where he's trying to pick up a girl at a bar. That one's a little different. |
| San Hunts pretty original and he's barely country sounding but he does have the great country storytelling lyrics set to a beat and a hook. He has a great breakup song: Make You Miss Me. Back Road is the simplest song I've heard from him -- and it's up for country sing of the year. |
Cause he is BRO COUNTRY. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bro-country |

I have been meaning to start a thread re: the following. I think I'm glad I waited bc the convo above is rolling where I want it to go:::
Southern accents that are 'bro'ish. A little southern, but not that southern. Think Channing Tatum. Sam Hunt has the same thing going in his songs. What do we call this? Also a willingness to use, "hey GIRL" and other words that from a regular country guy would seem flamboyant. Anyone else notice this? |
| My babies love this song! |
YES |
| I was in the southeast for work last winter/spring (I don't live there) and that song was EVERYWHERE! Like on constant play on the radio. I love the lyrics if not necessarily the beat |
| Actually he's much more country than you think -- but as a songwriter. He's the man behind many of the popular songs out there in the last 10 years. |
He's also 6'3 and hot as HELL
