"Selective colleges are taking fewer from kids Private and Boarding every year and more from public"
Impossibly vague. What is a "selective college?" <10% <20% < 50% acceptance rate? Are all "Private Schools" the same? In my DC elite private school at least 90% of the grads go to schools that consider themselves selective. There is a trend toward bigger schools in warmer climates. |
Actually throughout the 80s Stanford was 30% non-white. Great inactive tool here for most 'top' colleges over time. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/08/24/us/affirmative-action.html?_r=0 |

Stanford and USC are following (but lagging) the trend of all California schools - where Asians at the largest demographic. A lower % of Asian students arrive at top schools from private schools - which helps explain why the percent of private school kids at top schools declines as the # of Asian students increases. |
