Do women discuss sex with their friends?

I ended up marrying him! 35 years later we still have a healthy sex life. Other than that the only conversations I have about sex with friends is when they complain about a lack of sex. When they ask about me I just say "we're fine". No one I know discusses details.

Awesome!!

Guy here with a male POV. My closest guy friend and I might say that "I got lucky" last night or "I hope to get lucky tonight". That's about the limit of it. I really have no interest in the sex lives of my friends other than to hope they have one. I would guess that half don't but I'm lucky and I'm on the happy half.

SAD!

Not sad, so much as reality. This is a parenting website, most mom's of young kids want nothing to do with sex. I am fairly convinced these so-called women who write in about threesomes, claiming to be high-drive, etc. are either men pretending to be women, or wives in the newlywed phase.

There is a reason the world's oldest profession is still thriving, don't you think?

I'm 41 years old. Been married 11 years. Three kids- 8,6 and 4 years old. I just gave my DH a BJ and shag this AM. Women with drives exist.

And yes my friends and talk about sex though less now than in the past. I can't be good friends with uptight prudes.

I wonder if these kinds of references ever work out in a guys favor? For instance, when someone is not dating a guy seriously and tells all her friends that he's amazing in bed. The friends probably wonder and talk to others as well.

A few years ago my book group read 50 Shades of Gray. Pretty awful book IMO. But fueled with wine, for the first time sex with spouse was discussed. It was more funny than raunchy and while I consider myself to be a bit of a prude I soon realized I had one of the more exciting sex lives in the group. No toys or chains but when I said I love giving my DH a BJ a bunch of the ladies almost spit out their wine in shock.

Too funny. That's because most women hate it. Each to their own though.

I find women who overshare to be insecure and immature. You shouldn't betray your spouse. I wouldn't want my spouse talking about me in that capacity. I like loyal people. If they are disloyal to their spouse I can pretty much guess that goes for other areas as well.

Single people often do - too much Sex in the City viewing. Discussing spouse sex is off limits if you have any sense of decorum.

Well, I only ever dated one who I would put in the LOVE IT category but I can tell you without a doubt she loved it. She had an oral fixation in general and this was probably just an extension of that.

Women are always talking about how selfish men are in bed, but I seem to hear a lot more about guys who love performing oral than women who love performing oral. I'm not quite sure what to make of that.
