Can you explain this? My ex used to say the same about my ponytail, and I don't understand the appeal....

It's subjective, so I don't know if I can explain it. But watching it swing back & forth gives me a feeling like she's playful in a distinctly feminine way. (I never really put the two together before - but it might also be that, when she's walking in a way that makes the pony tail swing, on some level, I'm probably seeing her hips and butt sway too.)

And, it might be as simplistic as "long hair" = "girl" & "short hair" = "boy."
