I wonder how the Trump team will respond?

"Classified documents presented last week to President Obama and President-elect Trump included allegations that Russian operatives claim to have compromising personal and financial information about Mr. Trump, multiple US officials with direct knowledge of the briefings tell CNN."

What's the purpose of leaking this to CNN? Shouldn't these officials' clearance be revoked? Oh, that's right, those officials are probably Obama's political appointees.

Well, if you recall, many people have been saying "Who cares if it was the Russians that hacked the DNC/Democrats - the important thing is that the information in those emails and documents got out to the American public." So this would certainly be in the same vein, no? Who cares who leaked the stuff, it's important that the American public knows about these things. Let's hope the Russians do their job and actually leak what they know. The American people demand to know if Trump is into golden showers!

Hmmm, who thinks Trump will show up for his press conference tomorrow now?

Clinton might also not wanted to have compromised an ongoing investigation. I know it's hard for some to believe she cares about this country more than winning the Presidency...

The reports says the Russians also have compromising information on Clinton.

The more I reflect on this the less likely it all seems.

Trump is not a dumb guy even if he is oblivious about the constitution and the presidency.

I am a nothing burger compared to Trump but I used to travel quite a bit and I was always wary when I was in certain countries as to whether my phone was bugged, my laptop was likely to be hacked and whether there were cameras and bugs in the hotel room where I was staying. I conducted myself accordingly.

Trump had to have known that he was vulnerable to the same dangers of being under surveillance so stuff like the "golden showers" just seems really unlikely.

I wondered about this and if he cancels that would certainly indicate that he is not willing to confront all of this. Also waiting for a tweet from him.

Yeah, we know. They gave it to Wikileaks.

Trump has played it fast and loose for a very very long time.

Exactly.

My DH has traveled for work to Russia and they advised him that nothing at all is safe. Never to leave or even bring electronics.
Never to assume you are not under surveillance. The cold war is not over.
But see, when has Trump ever followed good advice?

Putin probably sent prostitutes as a present to 'frame' him. That is very likely.

I don't know about you all, but I always schedule my first press conference in six months the day after allegations of treason and golden showers with prostitutes arise.
