Isn't he banned for life from lobbying on behalf of foreign governments? I thought that is a rule now. |

Rules are for chumps. That is this Administration's mantra.
So here is a Washington Post article about the quid-pro-quo on the emails from October: https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/i-need-a-favor-fbi-official-at-center-of-alleged-clinton-email-quid-pro-quo-speaks-out/2016/10/18/dd872948-9538-11e6-9b7c-57290af48a49_story.html?utm_term=.3d274a322672 And it ties to $28,000 in payments from Flynn http://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/small-world--4 |
Ah. I remember the story 60 Minutes did on the coup against Erdogan. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/60-minutes-turkey-president-erdogan-disillusioned-with-u-s/ And then the Russian ambassador to Turkey was assassinated a month later. Not sure what these events have to do with each other, but it doesn't excuse the Trump administration's failure to vet the people it hires. Then again, I guess they assume everyone they hire is corrupt in one way or another. Flynn probably paid for his appointment along with the rest. |

Wondering (and worrying) what his end game will be. He's handling it in a spectacularly bad way so far. Normal people at least try not to look guilty. But it seems that, when he gaslighted his supporters into believing in him, he gassed himself as well.
It would be sad if he weren't such a horrible human being. And if possible outcomes weren't so frightening. |
Such a weird turn of phrase. I wonder if it's just a turn of phrase or if it means anything that we'll later understand. |
| I've never heard of it either but my guess is that it's a play on waiting for the "other shoe" to drop. In this case it's not ones shoe but dozens of them. |
| Maybe there are a lot of moving pieces? |
| Server in trump tower communicating with russian bank |
| laundering. tax returns. turkey. flynn and 500k. |
That news broke months ago, in September/October. I guess there's more there. |
| How many Clinton campaign meetings with the Russian ambassador? Seems like a lot, according to The Hill, plus with all the people who associated with and advised her campaign in DC we're talking hundreds of meetings. That investigation will take years. Better start now. |
Nice deflection. We aren't discussing Hilary. Try and keep focused. We are talking about TRUMP and his ties to RUSSIA. |
| The deflection to Hillary is such an opaque attempt to deceive? Why would anyone care what a grandmother living in NY did last year? The focus is on THIS President and his financial and political ties to Russia. |

Flynn is taking the steps you would expect from someone ready to sing for immunity (i.e. registering with DOJ post-facto).
He is a vindictive guy, as we have seen with Obama. I don't expect him to be any different with Trump. |
