YES! This is me! I love the 5 am workouts and see only my fellow hardcore morning exercisers. You all motivate me to keep coming!

I run outside daily , in all the elements, and it drives me insane when the new year resolutions folks hit the same trail - no etiquette, wearing their over priced athletic wear, total novices bc they are over dressed (ear muffs, really?/Jacket and long sleeve shirt, cmon?), and hogging up the trail/sidewalk by leisurely running in the middle, and busy checking their music play list not to notice others around them. Do they not realize what cheeseballs they are?

I used to be a marathon runner. I get cold very very quickly. In winter I ALWAYS ran with a fleece headband covering my ears and a long sleeve thermal with a jacket over it. A novice I was certainly not.

I've got Raynaud's. What's it to you what I need to wear to stay warm? Focus on your run, not what I'm wearing.

Anonymous wrote:OP here. This is what I love about DCUM. I simply stated a fact that gyms are more crowded this week. I don't like competing for space during an hour of the day that is sacred to me, so I'll sit it out for a few days and do my fitness at home. Somehow, some people read WAY too much into this and I get called a fat shamer, a bitch, and an all-around horrible person. Several of you got it, so thanks for that. I hope everyone had a great workout yesterday and has another one today.

If that's all it was, then why announce it on DCUM? People don't really care where you are exercising this week.

Everyone's gotta start somewhere, OP.

Here's a tip OP..stop worrying about other people and worry about yourself. Chances are you probably need to work on stuff...

Me too. I always need mittens and am always freezing. Been a runner for 22 years though, and it's likely I could beat you in a race, so you can think what you want of my "overdressed" gear.

My gym had to put up a sign reminding people not to take selfies in there. Seriously.

Oh well, they'll be gone soon!

Crossfit? Ugh. Hope you're saving up for the surgery that you'll need.

Actually the US army committed the biggest study to fitness and found it actually reduces injuries...so your wrong.

Second..OP, why do you give two shits? Here some advice. Keep your head down, and focus on your workout and don't worry what anyone else is doing. Chances are you need to put in the extra work anyways.

I'm a regular gym goer and I sometimes take selfies.

I don't see an issue with selfies sometimes. If some of the hot women who workout didn't take them I would have nothing to see on the barbell life Facebook page

Your eyeroll matters not to me. I love looking nice at the gym and seeing how my body is changing and getting strong.

Great - here come the crossfit trolls.

Here is the army crossfire study. It was not the "biggest" study and had 14 subjects. It made no conclusions about injuries. http://library.crossfit.com/free/pdf/CFJ_USArmy_Study.pdf

Meanwhile, crossfit sues to silence studies that do show increased injuries. http://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/07/crossfit-sues-over-study-that-alleges-high-injury-rate
