Who here still watches Sister Wives?

Why does Meri seem to think she can come up with these pet projects that cost a bunch of money, work with consultants and start the balling rolling - THEN ask for the family's "approval" and "support" because she needs money with a chip on her shoulder like if they don't say yes it's because they don't support HER.

They haven't talked about her LLR venture yet, but that leads me to belive the b&b is a no go.

The B&B was a go. She's been tweeting about it.

What was the LLR venture? I hadn't heard of that one. Or was that when they were doing the trade shows with the jewelry line...I seem to recall Meri and clothing then, but I was probably was unfamiliar with LLR at that time.

All these years of shows, and Meri's still finger-swiping her repressed tears away as she talks to Robin. It's like a sad, homely, disempowered Xena/Gabrielle subtext that never ends.

She's a very active LuLaRoe consultant. Huge group on facebook where she does live sales all the time.

I just watched the most recent one, the one about the wedding planning after not watching this show since Robyn had her first baby with Cody (or is it Kody?)

Anyway, I thought Christine looked great. She's not my favorite wife; I like Janelle because she's smart and funny. But she looks great and healthier than she did a few years ago.

While I found the 400 guest thing pretty nervy, what I found offensive was the whole pinata thing. The kids presented it as a fun chance for the guests to beat on the bride and groom, but even better because it would be so funny to have the bride and groom beat on each other first. WTF?

Did they skip the step where the parents and the bride/groom discuss what the family can afford?

I mean, I know, they have LARGE events always - but 400 people is INSANE. Especially from kids who work in a pawn shop and have nothing to contribute.

I also thought Mykelti's approach to picking the venue based on the personality of the wedding coordinator was CRAZY. That chick could quit her job tomorrow...then what?

Just shows how naïve and inexperienced Mykelti is. She left home for 1 yr to work in a pawn shop bc the owner knows her daddy and agrees to give her a job, she lives away for barely one yr, meets a loser, and BAM marriage. Does either one have any kind of education or trade? Sure they'll get their 400 person wedding bc Cody will scrape together money and TLC will comp most of it (how many times did they say the name of the country club??). But after that. I assume there will be babies in a yr, just like Madison. Do they really think 2 pawn shop incomes will pay for rent, cars, diapers, health insurance etc?? Have they even thought it thru?

LOVING this new season! I rewatched all of Sister wives before this new season started , on Hulu (it only starts at season 4) but wow my opinions on all of them have changed. Sobbin Robyn and Meri are awful. I love Christine and Jenelle. I used to think Christine was this sad, ignorant, oppressed moron but now I think she's very sweet, has the best heart, and is very intuitive. Jenelle is just obviously the most down to earth and "normal."

This whole "wedding" just sounds so stupid; like two kids planning a dumb party and the poor parents just let them do it so they don't hurt anyones feelings. Chess piece cakes? Cake buffet? Hot chocolate bar + street tacos for dinner = wow yum what a conducive theme! Pinatas. The colors she chose as her theme. Its absurd and T A C K Y!

where is Robyn in the cake tasting?

who cares. crying somewhere probably. I thought it was so weird when she said at the wedding dress shop that mykelti's fiance brings out robyn's "naughty side." I get that they were joking around but... she's inappropriate. People used to think it was weird the way she and Logan interacted too.

I'm team jenelle. I find her to be very articulate and sensible. You can tell she is just smart- and not to be superficial- she is honestly the prettiest. I think the others are likeable to some degree, but Jenelle takes the cake here.

PP of that post here, agreed! If I had to choose one of them to be my mom, it would hands down be here. She's smart, has always had a real job, very sensible, etc - they always call her "pragmatic" which I think is their nice way of saying smarter than the rest of them lol

Looks like another daughter is engaged - it’s been a whole year since Mykelti’s wedding, should be interesting to see Aspyn’s spin on things.

No posts on the wedding episode yet? What did you think?

OMG Christine's singing was awful - why has no one told her she can't sing?

It was cold - we get it!! Could they have told us more?

They seem like a cute couple.. but I feel like the wedding was so cheap & tacky looking. Didn't like anything about it!
