Be glad. I got a pink slip for my year end bonus. I'll be unemployed on January 4.

Nothing. Job was eliminated this year, along w/several other positions at my former company. My first job out of college (years ago) gave Christmas bonuses some years, others not. Depended on the owner's mood...and the mood of his office AP (before they divorced their spouses & eventually married). So much drama in that office that almost no bonus would have made up for it.

Even though Christmas will be very lean in our house this year, DH has a job with decent benefits and all our kids are healthy. Given what's going on in the lives of some other people I know, the health of my family is the very best Christmas bonus I could ever receive.

I'm in biglaw and my bonus will be about 30k. Blows my mind how small my bonus will be after spending my nights and weekends in the office all year. I guess if I make it 8 years in this hellhole I will one day get a bonus like your DH's, OP!

Doesn't it make you sad that you're wasting your life in an office pursuing money? Wouldn't you rather be doing something meaningful? It's very easy to have a happy life on an average income, I can't imagine it's easy to have a happy life when you're spending nights and weekends in an office.

Not a Christmas bonus, a uear end bonus. Each year it ranges from 5k to 50k.

I got a $25 Amazon gift card, and a nice holiday party that I had to leave early from to pick up DC from extended care at school. Must be present to win raffle, didn't eat dinner only had the hors d'ouvres!

$12k (5% of my salary)

I'm a senior associate at a biglaw firm that doesn't pay lockstep or match market bonuses. Believe it or not I'm a bit sour that I'm not getting $50k or whatever the "real" biglaw firms pay

Nothing. At my last job I got $250. But my new job gives me free lunch everyday.

My company had an option to defer the e tire bonus into a fund where it is invested
And then I get 100% + interest when I retire. I have a nice salary, so the bonus would just go into Savings
anyway, this way I keep it all.

My husband just got 100k. Nothing compared to some people at his company, but we are thrilled! It means everything to be able to save this for our future.

DH gets $0. He even has to pay $ for the department afternoon holiday party every year - even if he can't go! Fed government job.

Me $2000
DH $110,000
We are blessed.

Fed here- I get my performance bonus of $650 awarded around Christmas. I do have to kick in $20 if I want to eat at the holiday party, though.

My fed DH gets $0 too! At least he doesn't have to pay for lunch if he doesn't go to the lunch party.
