Tell me about your Chirstmas Bonus

I once got a $1000 bonus but that was a long time ago. I guess enough people get them to fill the airwaves with ads encouraging people to buy their spouse a Lexus or Mercedes or a new diamond ring.

Are you watching 1980s movies again, OP?

Don't leave us hanging! Did he pick the one time bonus or the QSI?!

LOL.

$0

Mine is about $2500 before it gets taxed. I make ~$60k.

This is DH's first year at his company, which compensates generously. We haven't heard anything about what his bonus will be, but he was told that there would almost certainly be one. He's pretty excited because it's also his first year not working at a non-profit where they didn't give anyone a raise for 5 years.

Christmas bonus.

LMAO!

Right? Last time I heard of anyone getting a Christmas bonus was National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Anyone I know who gets a bonus at all gets one usually in like March at the end of the fiscal year IF they've met their goals that year and hit their numbers.

I have bad news for you. If there wasn't a specified bonus structure included in his contract, and he hasn't gotten it yet... there is no Christmas bonus.

I got a Christmas bonus one year of my career. A $25 giftcard to Olive Garden, and that was only because I wasn't going to get a raise in the new year.

DH got $60k but that is his deal - lower salary for big bonus at the end of the years.

A membership in the Jelly of the Month Club.

It's in his contract as "At the Company's discretion..." blah blah there may be a bonus. My company doesn't specify the percentage of the bonus until right before they pay it out and it wasn't listed in my contract or offer letter either.

I had a job where each of 3 years over 600k was allocated to our department (12 people total). My boss had discretion to allocate it. lol and behold 11 people got bonuses averaging a little over 2500. The rest? My boss thought he did a good job I guess. I learned this after I left from a friend who worked in payroll.

What Christmas bonus?
Anonymous
$35,000

I don't get one. We don't have a company party either, or a department party. They do take us out to lunch, though, so I have to reschedule my lunch workout to hang with my coworkers instead. Oh well, free food is free food.
