Why is it ok to post old pictures of Melanie with rude, degrading captions?

Michelle Obama seems quite typical of the hundreds of thousands if not millions of similar women across America in the professional classes. She's not a genius (neither is Barack, even MO pointed that out back in 2008 if you bother to remember). I quite like her. She's done well in life and I'm sure she was good at whatever job she had at the hospital.

Melania Trump, on the other hand, married a billionaire. That puts her in a much more....ahem....rarefied circle if we can call it that. Not bad for a woman from a working class family in a former Communist bloc country. In its own way it's quite an accomplishment. I'm sure she'll be a perfectly blameless First Lady. Smile and look pretty, that's all that we expect from the role. Even MO realized that which is why her tenure at the WH is so unremarkable.

I'm a flaming progressive, and none of my FB posts or friends' FB posts include this image. Most indicated she was not to be body shamed, slut-shamed, or sexuality-shamed at all for any reason. You do realize the entire Upper East Side considers the Trumps classless and hate them? Yes, it takes beauty and skills - especially in bed - to land a billionaire. But let's not even think for a moment Melania is anything but a former nude model who escorted her way into the title of third wife.

I, for one, am really looking forward to hearing from Melania's working class family. The ones we haven't seen hide nor hair of since this election started. Any chance she hasn't spoken to them in 10 years since landing her big fish? I'd say its fairly likely.

As for the role of the First Lady, she has a big role in motivation for this country, of being a good spouse and supporting her husband's work, of starting projects that are the heart of US domestic agendas - HRC had health, Laura had education, Michelle had nutrition, but more than that she's motivational to the young children in this country. A slut model is nothing to aspire to.
