Why is it ok to post old pictures of Melanie with rude, degrading captions?

Anonymous
Women have the right to choose what they do with their bodies and must be respected for it, unless it's posing nude or marrying someone for money.

Right. People criticizing Melanie are just more old white men trying to control women's bodies. No one is getting hurt by a picture.

It's not about her looks. It's about how she chose to display them, her 'assets', and her entire body. I don't think supermodels/models are in any way a bad professional. I just never thought I'd have a nude model as a First Lady. Kind of really takes the kick out of the word 'lady'. But whatever.

+1 If you want to bare your body for money, that's your right. But, it's not really classy, despite what she and her husband think. Classy people don't do this. They are low class. It's one of the reasons the upper class in NYC don't like them, and he hates them for it. I'd prefer someone with a college degree and some class as FL.

My sister lives in Manhattan and these bolded words she shared with me. Half jokingly I told her if only he had gotten therapy for this shunning which now breeds insecurity. Manhattan this is on you, all on you. If you had treated poor Donnie better, we would not be living this reality.

So your sister and the "upper class" believe they are way too good to do anything as gasp! displaying their nudity in a european magazine? I guess they really talk shit about women who are beautiful and grew up in a culture where nudity is ok and if you are getting paid for it it's not considered classless.

Who cares what they do in Europe? In this country, it's low class.

Oh really? I thought libs like you always call anyone who doesn't accept others culture a redneck, racist, or low class so that would be you too? Last I checked America is made up of many cultures.

Being a gold-digger nude model is not classy. I'm not liberal, so I guess that's why you're confused.

Uh huh you sure criticize and look down your nose like a lib so I suspect you are a lib troll. She showed how much she backs Trump in dirty politics and that alone should make people positive she is not with him for the money. Women on the apprentice have called her lucky to be with trump but she told them that he was lucky to be with her. Sorry you are such a sexist that you judge a woman for being a model (all models pose nude at some point).

Seriously, it's the other way isn't it. Conservatives, especially the religious ones, should be the ones frowning about her as FL.

And the truly religious, good, moral people I know, are upset about it.

Well I'm a latina who voted for trump and work as a model on the side. I posted pictures of me in revealing clothing and I got a LOT A LOT of critics but not just young white men but also black and latino and asian. The older white men were more respectful. Young white guys and latinos not so much.

? No one is saying people are getting hurt by it. But, some people don't think it's a classy move no matter if she did prior to being FL. Most people, right or left, don't think either of those things are someone with high morals.

What?? None of anything you said makes sense.

It makes sense but you are too dumb to understand it and call anyone who opposes your view nonsensical

No, I was being serious. When you said gasp you need a modifier. Audacious? Disgusting? Empowering? It really makes a difference. Right now I could guess what you meant but I have no idea. As for second half, I think you're saying nudity in European culture is accepted and not considered classless even if it was for a job? In which case I would point you to several 'European' royal and political offices and exactly one example of a representative's wife posing in nude which was a huge scandal when she went to meet the Queen of England face-to-face. I wonder why... Even Berlusconi didn't marry his strippers and parade them in parliament.

Again, that is judging what women do with their bodies. Nobody blinks when men pose shirtless or nude (Justin Trudeau anyone?) Hell, Bill Clinton and JFK did things far more unclassy than just posing for a picture and no one cared. It's okay because it's men.

Stop judging women. That just more of the "she asked for it!" attitude and further promotes rape culture. Bullying a woman because she asked for it due to her attire is not okay.

She's a gold digger, an illegal immigrant, and a liar. But if she wants to pose nude for girlie mags, why not?

But what about having a foreign national in the white house? Isn't that a concern? I'd be more worried about Melanoma in that regard, much more so than all that other stuff.

So you would forbid her to model if she wanted to? Would you criticize her like you just criticized our first lady for modeling? Sometimes what you preach spits you back in the face.

Not the PP.

Forbid, god no. Support, also hell no. Do you know how many models a year are financially screwed over by managers? How unsafe the that field of work is? It also has no labor protections. That's glossing over the fact that most models just don't make it. Melania didn't. She just managed to marry a rich fat asshole who controls every aspect of her life and live in a gold penthouse. As one PP said she is an illegal immigrant and a gold digger. I don't fault her for hustling, but I wouldn't want that for my daughter.
