What did you wear at hospital after giving birth?

Wear the hospital gown. No need to wear special outfits, you just gave birth. Geez.

I'm curious how many people mention showers. I bleed a lot during birth so maybe that's some of it, but I was really lightheaded for my whole hospital stay - I didn't feel well enough to attend the entire class pre hospital discharge and laid back down. I never tried showering at the hospital (48 hours) because I felt too lightheaded.

That sucks. I showered a couple hours afterwards, and each of the two mornings.

Me too. I had a long labor but I was up and about and showered and didn't bleed much after so I was in my own yoga pants and showered a couple times at the hospital. I though about depends but didn't need them in the end. Getting up to pee and use the sitz bath often enough that I just changed the pads.

I had a csection and showered tge morning after a gave birth and then each day thereafter. However, I didn't have any pp bleeding at all. I was anemic and had a blood transfusion before being discharged, so that may have contributed to my lack of bleeding.

The nurse got me up and into the shower late at night after my c. She made me change gowns and even got my toothbrush for me. I felt so much better. I showered the next two mornings too. You definitely want to shower because you sweat, puke, get goo all over.

I'm little and the hospital gown was huge on, and this very uncomfortable, on me. I felt like I was wearing a sheet!
