| Is it worth bringing clothes from home, or will I just end up in the hospital gown the whole time? |
| I wore my own clothes because I found the hospital gown horribly scratchy and uncomfortable. A lot of people will say just wear the hospital gown because your clothes will likely get bloody and you will want something that is easy for bf if you are going that route. No harm in bringing a few options for yourself and then you can decide how you feel at the time. |

Make sure they're maternity clothes

| I brought clothes but ended up using the hospital stuff, partly because I brought winter clothes and the hormones made me hot as hell. |
| I wore yoga pants and nursing tanks (Target has good ones). The yoga pants helped keep the enormous pads in place, imo. |
Same. |

I wore the gown. I was HOT and sweating, so anything like pants was a no go. Pants or shorts would have just made using the bathroom even more annoying and it was already a production. I also wanted easy access to breastfeeding and doing skin to skin cuddling with my baby. I also was a bit swollen from fluids during labor so when I did try to put on a bra or tank top, it felt SO SO constricting and tight.
Obviously this was just my experience. But I'll bring maybe one possible hospital outfit and then clothes to go home in for #2. |
| I wore a bathrobe. I don't think I could have gotten pants on myself, I didn't have use of my legs for a little while. I was also completely incontinent so wanted something darkly colored that I didn't care about ruining. It was perfect for breastfeeding and also covering up quickly when in laws unexpectedly showed up at the door. |

I'm bringing my favorite soft Target Pjs and plan on hanging out in those all day. Leaving the hospital wearing a comfortable T shirt maternity dress I love.
These are the pajamas and somehow they still fit me at 38 weeks just fine. I think they'll be easy for breastfeeding too. http://www.target.com/p/women-s-fluid-knit-top-and-short-pajama-set-gilligan-o-malley/-/A-15026135 |
| I brought comfy clothes to wear, but ended up just wearing the hospital gown for my whole stay. I was really out of it after my C-section, and just wanted to make things as easy as possible. |
| hospital gown for the first day, then yoga pants and a t shirt to leave |
| I wore the gown. Easy access for breast-feeding, could change as needed when I got the sweats, no laundry to bring home. |
Actually now that I'm thinking about it, I might bring a short, silk-like robe to wear. That would have been perfect. Maybe something with a pattern so my nipples aren't obvious in pictures or for visitors. Hmm, I'm going to look into that. |

I wore the sleeveless dress I wore to the hospital. It wasn't a maternity dress but super loose and comfy. I hated sitting around in a hospital gown like I was 'sick'.
