What did you wear at hospital after giving birth?

Hospital gown

I brought a suitcase full of comfy clothes that I never even opened. The gowns are comfy and designed to meet your needs (easy on/off when you're sore and shuffling around). Nurses are in checking your bleeding frequently so you definitely don't want pants. And then the gowns they gave me had nursing holes. Just bring something to wear home that will fit you 6-7 mos pregnant. You will still have a big prego belly when you go home.

I did appreciate having good toiletries with me. They give you the basics, but having my own stuff was nice. That first shower after delivery is the first step in feeling human again.

Hospital gown at first (it can be really hard to contain the mess right after birth- I didn't want to wear my own clothes), then stretchy, roomy black athletic pants and jacket after taking that much appreciated shower.

I think I wore the gown longer than I thought I would - all the reasons already mentioned - then eventually put on yoga pants and a nursing top. I was also ridiculously hot...

Also- on toiletries - the nicest gift from someone was a lovely lavender body wash/shampoo set. After 3 days in L&D - that shit made me feel human again. so, def consider something nice for the shower.

Hospital gown in room, yoga pants and a t-shirt when I would leave rooms for things like the classes they give you before sending you home. I wish I'd brought a shirt to wear home that was different from the one I wore to the hospital - it was a little grubby.

I wore the gown to sleep. I wore clothes during the day in an effort to feel human.

During the day I wore very loose black pants from Target and a tank top and an open cardigan. I was very cold during the day. The sweating was at night.

The first day I wore a hospital gown because I was sweating like a madwoman. After they let me take a shower, I wore pajama pants or yoga pants with a maternity tank and a cardigan, and slippers (or flip flops). I came home in a maternity dress and flip flops.

I wore the gown way longer than I planned. I ended up needing a c-section, and was so miserable the next day, changing clothes was the least of my worries. I brought some loose nightgown type of things, and yoga pants, but I'm not sure if I changed into them during my entire stay, and I don't even remember what I wore home.

The gown. I brought yoga pants and a top to wear when my DD came. And a nursing bra and a robe for when visitors came. But otherwise I wore the gown. With my first baby I didn't change out of the gown at all until we left for all of the reasons noted above. They did have clean gowns in the bathroom so I changed into a clean one each day. Bring your own towel and toiletries though.

Yoga or pj pants and a nursing tank.

I hated the hospital gowns and got out of them at the first opportunity

I wore the hospital gown. They're ugly and medicinal, but they're functional. And someone else does the wash. Also, the two times I've delivered, they've been super soft. Sterilize something that often and they're usually pretty buttery.

I wore a dressing gown with a feather boa.

I had an emergency C section and DC was in the NICU on a different floor. I wore soft yoga/pajama pants, a nursing tank and a wrap sweater for when I was cold. I hated walking around the hospital in just a gown.
