Pregnant, AC broke, DH out of town..what to do?

What will you do when the baby gets here? People are reacting to your current helplessness while your DH is gone. This has happened to me twice in the last 4 yrs. No DH. No money for a hotel. Once we slept in the basement and once we went to my aunt's house who lived an hour away. The a/c guy couldn't come for 2 nights.

I have. And I have arthritis which has destroyed my elbows and wrists.

Good LORD, we are talking about a WINDOW FAN, not an AIR CONDITIONER UNIT. CAN YOU PEOPLE READ. A window fan is LIGHT and can be carried by an out of shape pregnant person. The lack of reading comprehension skills makes me want to scream.

put cool damp towels on and a fan. Imagine how people in poverty stricken, hot countries, without electricity do it-hope you survive the night. I would bet money that you will.
