Both birds were there earlier today. And they have all been eating. There is food. Some of it is slightly hidden under the top layer of nest. The big fish over the weekend was fun to see.

Everybody is eating now. Both chicks look good. Fingers crossed that all stays well.

There were 2 eaglets in the nest when I looked this morning and now there is just one! Did something happen to one of the eaglets?

Second one is there - parent was sitting on it...

I don't know why the news kept featuring the eaglets as the first hatched in the DC area in X number of decades. We had two juvenile Eagles in our backyard on Thanksgiving 2012. The whole neighborhood came out to watch them (they were very loud).

Still very cool to see them hatch.

Mom's feeding them. Dad seems to be feeding himself.

The dad can't figure out that he needs to let go of the food in order for him to grab it.
