Safeway Monopoly game

Don't they give you a ticket for every $10 you spend on ANYTHING? I'm pretty sure that when my total has been $170, the guy counted out 17 tickets. That includes wine and non-processed foods.

I've won exactly one thing: a jar of pickles. I hate pickles.

I got 60 tickets yesterday! They had some big specials going on.

There were double and triple tickets going on (look at the bottom of your receipt).

All I am missing are the rare tickets. The whole game board is filled in except the rare ones. I event went online to find the list of rare tickets to make sure that was what I was missing.

The game ends in early May. Boo!

Biggest ripoff ever! There are many items on the board where I only needed one or two tickets to win a prize and after literally sorting through hundreds of tickets, all I got were duplicates of the ones I alreay had. Also, I entered 176 ticket codes into the online game and won absolutely nothing. This can't just be bad luck. Does Safeway really want the reputation of a rip-off? On a side note, I also noticed their grocery prices have skyrocketed. Their most inexpensive gallon of milk sells for $3.99, here in CA. I can get the exact same brand from 7-11 for $1.99 and at Trader Joe's for $2.99. What are they thinking? I will not shop at Safeway anymore. If you want to make a complaint, go to: www.complaintsboard.com and search for "Safeway Monopoly".

My 13 year old loved playing it. I knew it was a waste but it kept her occupied. When it was over, I gladly got a trash bag and threw away all the tickets. She never asked if we won anything. I thought it was a good diversion from school work.

I won't play again. I won nothing, spent too much time sorting thru pieces and entering online codes. I also agree with PP - their prices are getting higher. After changing their gas program I just find less and less reason to shop there.

On the last day (I believe it was 5/3), they were giving away an insane number of tickets. We definitely received more than 200, and after opening them all, we won a 1-day free movie rental, can of pickles, can of beans, and some stool softener. Nothing from the board.

I shopped there often and got hundreds of tickets. We won nothing. Same as everyone else - we were missing one ticket on every single prize. I thought for sure we would get a $5 off coupon. Such a waste of time.

I thought for sure most people would win a $10 gc as a PR move, but it doesn't look like anyone did! What a crappy promotion. They weren't my favorite store, but it definitely made them lower on my list.

Played, won nothing, and frankly, was thrilled when the whole game was over and I felt like I could throw it all in recycling.

Did y'all get coupons from some of the tickets? I got a lot of those. If you look at the website, it showed a list of winners, some of them were from the DC area.

I got a free box of triscuits....that's it
