Thank God. Safeway wastes its time and money on these ridiculous promotions like Monopoly and new knives. How about improving your shitty customers service and better staffing your registers during rush hour?

Hahaha! Totally right. I was there a few weeks back and was overcharged $27! I pointed this out and the cashier kept arguing with me (and I was totally polite the whole time saying things like "But Ms. X, as you can see the price here is marked at $4 and you charged me $15"). Thankfully there was no line. Eventually she accused me of "being shady" and went to a different cashier who rang everything up again and found out that I had been overcharged $27. The first cashier actually told me "I still think something was shady". This is after an hour of trying to ring up around 20 small items. I don't understand how that could be challenging.

The moral of the story is to avoid Safeway entirely, especially the clearance aisle!

Agree, Safeway doesn't always have the advertised prices in the system. I feel like I have to watch the screen like a hawk to make sure everything rings up correctly.

The Safeway in Alexandria seems to have enough people working in it more often than not.

I will say, the app has got better. You can get the aisle number of where a product is.

I'm the "shady" poster and to be honest I laughed too! I felt bad but I kept having to say, "Ms. X I apologize for the inconvenience but I'm not being shady!"

I've never said that before in my life!

I did not want to embarrass her or be rude, but she was accusing me of theft or something. Whatever shady means.

We got about 5 free bagels and 1 sour cream and 1 green salad this year. Last year, got a ton of extra tickets and a couple of free useless items.
