Safeway Monopoly game

Safeway blows.

Completely agree. I unfortunately have a pair of Safeways that I frequent, near both home and work, and I can't stand these god damn promotions either. The customer service at the GA/Randolph Safeway is pretty horrible and I hate how they never have any baskets near the GA Ave entrance, which has by far the most pedestrian foot traffic. Plus the cashiers at the self serve aisle are always dragging ass. At least at the Giant on 14th they work hard moving people through the registers.

^^^ Remember Safeway is also upholding a covenant that allows it to monopolize a EOTR food desert, which of course denigrates into terrible customer service and food selection.

This year I've gotten 2 free bagels and one box of Safeway pasta. Last year I got nothing.
We got about 5 free bagels and 1 sour cream and 1 green salad this year. Last year, got a ton of extra tickets and a couple of free useless items.

I won a bottle of Aspirin.

I used to like to buy the $5 bag of pre-washed broccoli or broccoli/cauliflower. Then, of course, one day Safeway decided to stop carrying these in favor of their BS, rip-off "cut right here in store" packaged broccoli or broccoli/cauliflower. I brought it up with numerous managers, they all basically told me the same thing. Too bad, we're not carrying it anymore. Go to another store if you want it or buy our rip-off cut in store brand.

I just won an instant win cooking class through Rouxbe! Yay me ?

I doubt I will win any big prizes but the fact that it keeps my kids entertained is a huge personal win!

Ok, I seem to be doing well. I've won a $25 grocery card, a $5 grocery card, and $5 in Fandango credits (online).

We won it too. I gave the ticket to my teenage daughter, and she signed up for the "knife skills" class. Which class are you going to take?

Is anyone else playing?

I won a doughnut. It was good.

I hate this game. I was the same last year. Got all the tickets and was always one ticket away. There checkout people are the worst and at the new rockville store, the staff is almost non existent. Theyshoudl improve the quality of their takeout options and do better staff training.

Ha! I gave mine to my teenager too! He loves to cook, me not so much. Haven't figured out which class yet. Kinda confused by the fact that they grade your dish? Maybe I didn't read it closely enough though...

I won soda and salt today! Hah!

I've also racked up $15 in fandango credits from the online submissions. Nothing from the board though.

The game is just too damn complicated. McDonalds version is much better done and you get instant winners that are actually somewhat gratifying (for the occasional mcdonalds water)
