Are your parents still driving? How old are they?

Anonymous
For those of you wondering how to take the keys away, AARP has some free resources on their site (if you can manage to find them behind all the ads). I went through this when we had an issue with my mom.

Basically there are 5 or so reasons seniors want to drive. I forget them all, but they were things like independence, status of having a car, fear of not having a car if there's an emergency like somebody needing to go to the hospital, and so on.

So before you have this conversation with your parents, figure out what's most important to them and have a solution ready. Like a car service or an Uber app if they're good with an iPhone.
