| I sometimes like the NY accent in men, but can't stand it in women. |
|
I love soft southern accents (maybe southern Virginia/eastern Tennessee?), love NY, Boston, (especially when they curse or are insulting you), Louisiana/New Orleans.
Hate Pittsburgh, Russian, Baltimore (and i've been told i have one -- ugh!!!) and Chicago accents. |
|
Hate New York and New Jersey and that Fargo North Dakota accent. Have a love hate with the Boston accent. Grew up there but don't have one myself. It's a lower class thing....for the most part. But now that I've been away a while when I see it done well (Spotlight movie nailed it. I believe they used mostly local actors). I get nostalgic. Hate when actors try to do it and botch it up- more often than not.
I think the old Kennedy upper class Boston accent has died off for the most part.... |
|
I hate the John Kerry accent. It sounds so affected and condescending.
Is that upper crust Boston? |
|
Absolutely hate: Southern (Texas esp) and New York
Love: Irish/Scottish |
| Love the Northen Indian accent. Beautiful. |
| I do not like Russian or German accents. They sound so harsh and guttural to me. |
When John Kerry ran for President, he used speech people to change his accent. Prior to his run for Presidency, he sounded much different. I have heard him make many commencement speeches over the years, and you can hear the differences. |
+1 Is it "okay" to hate Germans? You're kidding, right? |
|
Hate "Warshington" and "warsh," and "Mondee, Tuesdee..."
Heard in some parts of Pennsylvania/New Jersey |
You know the war is over?

Philly is the worst.
- West Philadelphia, born and raised |

Love Scottish, Aussie, and British accents. As a consequence (perhaps) - love Boston accents.
Midwestern accents are interesting. I can hear southern accents most easily. I am indifferent about them. |
"On a playground is where I spent most of my days" (sorry couldn't help but think of the Fresh Prince of BelAir theme song!). |
| Love South Carolina |
