+1 I'm always incredulous at the self-centeredness of people like this. Yes, we get it, you're sick - but they seem to have no clue that everyone has a story of some sort and that while they may be sick, the people they're boring with their tales of illness may also be going through something awful in their lives. It's like it never occurs to them that those around them could be suffering in some way too (either personally or through some sort of family crisis). Narcissistic is exactly the right word. |
He strikes me as someone who was never "cool" as a kid/teen, and is now trying to make up for that in spades. Everything about him drips insecurity. Yolanda will be better off without him. |
I think he just thinks he's the bee's knees because he produces music so everyone in the industry always genuflects to him. He's got Mutt Lange Complex where one thinks they can do better than what they have. Tho I'm sure Yo-Yo is no prize to have to deal with. She has that euro thing where the body stays intact but the face goes to hell with age. |

OK, I've watched both shows so far and I can guarantee that Yolanda's illness is in her head now. She made a comment in the first episode about wanting to get healthy so she can go back to being the perfect mom and wife. I think she's actually trying to avoid going back to that since it's too much pressure. She probably did have lymes and was cured of it, but it scared her. I'm hearing about heavy metals and parasites a foot long, etc, and I believe new agers are trying to separate her from her money.
She needs behavioral modification and some Zoloft - she has OCD. |
agreed! |

David is a very sought after music arranger both in Hollywood and internationally.
He is not insecure. He's totally arrogant. |
I agree with this. I also think Kyle's comment on depression hurting is spot on. |
|
I think she's having some sort of crisis stemming from Gigi being an uber successful supermodel now. It's like, she's not the beauty anymore and will now be in her daughter's shadow instead of the other way around. Furthermore, her daughter doesn't need her anymore. In previous seasons, we'd see yo coaching Gigi on her diet and getting into the business and helping her get set up at college (which she has since dropped out of) and yo has basically lost her purpose. She's not the beauty of her family anymore, nor is she the needed or depended upon mother figure.

Yep. But I don't think Y is being dishonest. I think she really believes it. |

I was so embarrassed for Lisa R. and Lisa V. - traipsing around Ohio in their stupid cowboy hats and heels with that tutu-ed pony. It was funny watching them have a good time, but they looked ridiculous. And buying a mini-pony for your husband? Just bizarre!
Also - Kyle and Lisa V. looked so fish-out-of-water, all doodied up in their silly outfits while shopping in Italy. They looked like a couple of flamboyant parrots and completely out of place. |
Speaking of fish out of water, WHY is Erika on this show?! |
| I would probably have thought it was in her head too, if my mom didn't go through the exact same thing. Listening to her and her symptoms gives me flashbacks to when my mom was sick. I think it's more the heavy metal poisoning than Lyme disease, it can really screw up your whole body and takes a very long time to get out of your system and then try to get your body back to normal. |
She screams "trashy" to me. |
Me too, but I did like that she completely owned her trashiness! She made no bones about the fact that she met her husband as a cocktail waitress and didn't come from money. She strikes me as kind of funny, though extremely trashy.

I don't think there's anyone she doesn't scream "trashy" to. She is trashy and she owns it. |
