Bethenny annoys me so much. She's one of those people who's always on transmit only, talking a mile a minute but not listening to anyone or letting anyone else get a word in. Can't stand that "type".
I thought Lisa R. looked so cute in the morning with no makeup on. Much younger.
Just watched it last night.
Yolanda- agreed she should have taken out those babies long ago. I hope it's all that chemical causing her problems- it would be great if she'd feel better (whatever it is). She is a person who needs a little makeup- her eyes are so tiny and bruised looking. Was cringing when David Foster happily told Lisa V on the phone that Ken now had better tits than Yo. Ouch. It was a joke.... but not.... clearly, what with the divorce.
Lisa R- I wish she'd just get her mouth smaller... still so offputting but otherwise has aged well despite scrawniness. Seems down to earth. Felt bad she got diarrhea and vomiting. At least she got out in time.
Lisa V- She's British. She understands social protocols full well. So when she overasks questions and plays innocent like 'why didn't you tell me to stop' it's a bit of a joke because she's aware enough as a perpetual hostess at social gatherings when one is feeling uncomfortable. She is choosing not to pick up on it and to cross examine people. Like Erika, I'd return the favour by having NO questions for her. We get it- you are an open book. You are also superficial and boring I have no questions. (I say this, though I like her). I know if Eileen had said "I'm going to stop your questioning there", Lisa V would have acted wounded and confused. She was already pretending not to pick up on the problem when everyone was making jokes about Lisa being pushy AS she was questioning her.
Eileen- I don't get it. Excuse yourself, move, ask Lisa a question, turn the topic, turn to speak with another person, etc. Don't say nothing, then complain that someone kept being pushy for info. I'm not clueless but if someone after the fact complained about this to me I'd think they were a nut. Having said that- again, Lisa V knew better.
Bethenny- I enjoy her but I agree with PP that she is set to transmit only. I feel embarrassed for her... it's like she gets dragged out every time Bravo thinks the viewer wants a credentialed loudmouth to 'tell it like it is'... it must be exhausting even for her... unless we missed some editing where she was directed by the group to provide explicit Erika-related feedback. I like the way Erika handled it- good naturedly apathetic. I think she realized it was all about Bethenny, not about her. Can you imagine sexing it up for fun and using hubby to start the bankroll on a successful dance music career and apparently it WORKS OUT and you win multiple awards??? Good for her- she must be loving life. Then someone completely the polar opposite physical and emotional type as you starts telling you how to create your brand/empower women/market your sexy videos? Laughable. Entertaining, really.
Kyle- She is so frumpy. I know she's a little shorter/heavier (Probably totally normal BMI but looks like a stunted donkey next to the other women) but can she wear something other than a muumuu? Poor Mauricio, it's like he's married to Mrs. Roper from Threes Company.
Erika- wow, just perused her 'before' photos on Bravo, not only is she beautiful, but she literally made herself that way. New everything. Lol @ "I don't know anything about Margaritas and I don't know anything about being skinny".
I feel like the episode was a tutorial in knowing your audience and picking up on verbal and non verbal cues, with Lisa V and Bethenny playing the role of the clueless lout who is tonedeaf to their own questions/unellicited opinions. When people get a stricken or overly careful, calm face and minimize their verbal interactions, it means you are being rude, assholes of the world!
Bahahaha, I'm the PP and I loved your whole post. So, so true, every word. Lisa V. absolutely knows what she's doing and I hate that shocked and hurt act she feigns when someone calls her on it. So passive-aggressive.
I also loved Erika's responses to Bethenny (to the camera) - "Anyone can make a margarita." Read: "Sorry you'll never be fabulous like me, honey."
Agree that if Lisa would get her lip implants removed, it'd be a huge improvement. Such a pretty woman otherwise. I loved that she was candid about it coming out both ends. Her face at the dinner table even looked like mine does when I'm about to get the shits.
