I recommend you read the research. For those parents who want to make their homes safer here is how you do it. |
|
You can read the letters from expert scientists here.
(You can personally attack people all you want but the facts are the facts. http://safetechforschoolsmaryland.blogspot.com/2015/10/medical-doctors-are-calling-on-schools.html Why not write Dr Herbert at Harvard and attack her? "I am a pediatric neurologist and neuroscientist on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and on staff at the Massachusetts General Hospital. I am Board Certified in Neurology with Special Competency in Child Neurology, and Subspecialty Certification in Neurodevelopmental Disorders. I have an extensive history of research and clinical practice in neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly autism spectrum disorders. I have published papers in brain imaging research, in physiological abnormalities in autism spectrum disorders, and in environmental influences on neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism and on brain development and function. I recently accepted an invitation to review literature pertinent to a potential link between Autism Spectrum Disorders and Electromagnetic Frequencies (EMF) and Radiofrequency Radiation(RFR). I set out to write a paper of modest length, but found much more literature than I had anticipated to review. I ended up producing a 60 page single spaced paper with over 550 citations. It is available at http://www.bioinitiative.org/report/wpcontent/uploads/pdfs/sec20_2012_Findings_in_Autism.pdf. In fact, there are thousands of papers that have accumulated over decades –and are now accumulating at an accelerating pace, as our ability to measure impacts become more sensitive –that document adverse health and neurological impacts of EMF/RFR. There are over 200 scientists with medical degrees and phDs calling for immediate action. Even Consumer Reports! is recommending precautions. http://safetechforschoolsmaryland.blogspot.com/2015/10/breaking-news-consumer-reports.html |
| Is this thread just the same zealot responding to anyone and everyone with these quotes and links? |

How about Norbert Hankin of the EPA Dept of Radiation? Maybe you can attack him?
He says- Children, pregnant women and the elderly were not considered in the current radiation safety regulations. Long term exposure was not considered. Read his letter here. http://nebula.wsimg.com/4c0f61dc30c3d6bb27d90f53a57c616e?AccessKeyId=045114F8E0676B9465FB&disposition=0&alloworigin=1 Since you are so involved in this issue how about you speak on the upcoming panel debate on this? You can share your insights as to how you think this radiation is safe with the community and answer questions. |

"zealot", "spambot"- just a serious of bullying tactics to avoid the facts of the matter. Try speaking to the issue at hand. Wireless companies warn their investors that the research could be "unfavorable" . Maybe MCPS should warn parents?
AT&T 2014 Annual Report “Unfavorable litigation or governmental investigation results could require us to pay significant amounts... As we deploy newer technologies, especially in the wireless area, we also face current and potential litigation relating to alleged adverse health effects on customers or employees who use such technologies including, for example, wireless handsets. We may incur significant expenses defending such suits or government charges and may be required to pay amounts or otherwise change our operations in ways that could materially adversely affect our operations or financial results.” http://www.att.com/Investor/ATT_Annual/2014/downloads/att_ar2014_annualreport.pdf China Mobile Limited -Forbes top Telecom company UNITED STATES SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION FORM 20-F 2014 “Actual or perceived health risks associated with the use of mobile devices could materially impair our ability to retain and attract customers, reduce wireless telecommunications usage or result in litigation.” “...we cannot be certain that future studies, irrespective of their relative reliability or trustworthiness, will not impute a link between electromagnetic fields and adverse health effects.” “Research into these issues is ongoing by government agencies, international health organizations and other scientific bodies in order to develop a better scientific understanding and public awareness of these issues…” http://www.chinamobileltd.com/en/ir/reports/ar2014/2014_20f.pdf |
said the english major |
| The english major? You mean Mr. Sherwin Collette the technology Chief who is an English major making this safety determination at MCPS? |
|
MCPS should sit down with Dr. Miller to discuss the issue. Listen to him list his credentials dear skeptics.

Message to Public Schools and Parents about Wireless Devices and Health
Ronald M. Powell, PhD, "If wireless devices, such as WiFi, are used in your schools, then the health of your staff, your teachers, and your students can be at risk. But this problem can be successfully addressed, and with benefit to all. Background: Wireless devices transmit information using radiofrequency/microwave radiation. The international biomedical research community has been studying the impact of such radiation on biological entities for decades, but more intensely in recent years. Thousands of studies have been published in peerreviewed biomedical journals. And so many of these studies are finding biological effects of concern that immediate responsive action is warranted. Further, these biological effects occur at levels of radiation far lower than earlier understood. Simply stated, a worldwide health crisis is emerging and is becoming a hallmark of the 21st century. The international biomedical research community is trying to warn us; but, as a society, we are not yet listening. I hope this message will help to change that." Ronald M. Powell, is a retired US government scientist (Ph.D., Applied Physics, Harvard University, 1975). During his government career, he worked for the Executive Office of the President, the National Science Foundation, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Harvard trained PhD. Parents are able to use a cord for their children in classes.
This reduces their risk. it stops the radiation. Cords do not emit radiation, just the wifi. If MCPs is allowing it in even one school, then all parents should have this right. Every child deserves such a choice. |

Look spambot. You've cut and pasted "experts" that equate all radio frequencies as being equivalent and they are not. It's a desperate attempt to push your own private vendetta.
If you inundate listserves, forusm and private emails with your false, repetitive messages then you are a spambot. This is is not "bullying". Grow up.

Cell Phone and wi-Fi frequencies are all a part of the radiorequency RF-EMF type of radiation and all are included in the World Health Organization classification asa Class 2 B Possible Human Carcinogen.
The WHO understands that the research apples across this group of frequencies. Hopefully you can take the time to understand this scientific determination. See Dr Hardell detail it here. He understands that his research applies to Wi-Fi in Schools. |
|
Try reading this. Perhaps it will help you understand how wi-fi and cell phone frequencies are the same type of radiation.
Letter to the FCC by Dr. De-Kun Li, MD, PhD, MPH on the Inadequacy of FCC guidelines. "Currently there are no national or international “standards” for safety levels of radiofrequency (a range of 3 kHz to 300 GHz) devices. What FCC is currently using are “guidelines” which have much lower certainty than a “standard”. One can go to many governmental agencies’ websites like NIOSH, EPA, FDA, etc. to verify this. Therefore, for anyone to claim that they meet “FCC” standards gives a false impression of safety certainty compared to “guidelines” which implies that a lot is “unknown.” and "The bottom line is that the safety level for RF exposure related to non-thermal effect is unknown at present and whoever claims that their device is safe regarding non-thermal effect is either ignorant or misleading. : Read it here http://apps.fcc.gov/ecfs/document/view?id=7022311506 |
Concerning this business of a "private vendetta" lets expolore this. Why would anyone want to call out the health issues related to this radiation? It is important to consider the source and what brings them to this issue. I have no financial stake in the issue but I do have kids. So that is what gives me the impetus to raise this despite commentary such as the poster who name calls people posting o this as "zealots" or spambots or whatever else you come up with. .
NOW... Lets look at the people trying hard to put forth assurances of safety.. HMMM that would be the Wireless Companies themselves.. Anyone else curious about that.. MCPS officials who have made the large billion dollar deals also seem bent on purporting safety. Funny cause this Tech office seems to have a history of spending lots of money on stuff like the PROMETHEAN BOARDS with a sweet no bid contract.. and then going on international trips to talk about it. WOW. wish I could go on such trips.
Know your sources. If anyone stands a personal or financial gain from this issue then you best reconsider the information they put out. I highly recommend you watch this very very old video where a whistleblower describes what happened when he brought the DNA damaging effects to the attention of the wireless industry executives. OOPs---the Executives now are in our government heading up the agency in change of the issue. |
