Really, truly for the 50+ set: When /why did we need to start ripping out our pubes, too ?!

I shave/laser because I prefer it. I have beautiful breasts and have birthed three children with my husband by my side. TRUST me, no one would confuse my womanly body with a pre pubescent child- nor does my husband prefer children. Your assertion is perverse. How about we allow women the right to own the body and body hair that THEY prefer, bitch. That's part of being a feminist.

You weren't born before 1965 though, were you.

Note the thread topic. Women over 50. I challenge you to find me 2 or 3 women, anywhere, who are actually over 50 years old and prefer not to have pubic hair anymore after 40 years of having pubic hair.

who just woke up one day and said, "you know what? I DO 'prefer to shave' after all."

Because, that is what we're talking about here. Not the politics of 21 year olds who came of age after porn went online for free in every household and changed the way women < 40 years old think about their own bodies and what's "pretty" and "sexy." We know how you all think. This is question for the women who didn't initially have to accept that societal norm created for them.

I'll be 52 in three months. I shave most of it off and have done so for at least fifteen years, give or take. I always shaved the bikini line and then gradually shaved more...and more.

I really doubt I am the only one even if it is likely I am in the minority.

But, that's what pre-pubescent girl children LOOK like-no hair. Women who have gone through puberty have pubic hair. So: logic.

This.

You all seem awfully picky about what another woman does with her pubic region. Almost…..strangely so. Do you have pre-pubescent girl fantasies? Because I can't imagine why else you are so fixated on me NOT shaving my bush. Does it turn you on to think about a shaved mons pubis and and then you feel dirty and ashamed?

Otherwise why would it bother you so much? Worry about your own crotch and everyone be happy!

Can't speak for other posters but I thought the point of this thread was that people wanted to just worry about their own crotches. And why do you need to postulate some weird obsession on the part of other people? Let it go.

I don't want to read 6 pages of pedophilia accusations, so pardon me if this has been said.

Sex feels better to me when I'm completely waxed. That's a good enough reason for me to continue doing it. You ladies do whatever you'd like to do. I'm not the pubic police, and I don't care.

Curious, does it itch?

So by your logic, you also aren't shaving your armpits, right?

Right?

I'll be 50 in a month and I have shaved it off since high school (graduated in 1984, so probably started shaving it all off in 1983 or so). I was a dancer and the hair could show through the pink tights (I'm hairy) so I started shaving and after a few times, shaved it all off (read about it in a book). I liked it and have had various states of waxing, shaving, etc. ever since. I personally prefer a landing strip to a full brazilian.

How many guys are seeing your bush?

I have. It's real, and it's spectacular.
