My guess would be she has a naturally lean body that was previously more muscular due to her athleticism, she married into the public eye, had HG through two pregnancies, probably lost weight during nursing, and doesn't strike me as one who eats MORE during times of stress. Is it really that surprising she's thinner now than during her college years? It doesn't mean she's anorexic. |

She's easily lost 20-30 pounds since her mid 20's. Even look at the pictures at the end of the article from 2012 and 2013. In those she's much healthier looking. Her arms and shoulders have some "round" to them. Now she's a coat hanger. If her current dress was sleeveless it would be obvious how shockingly thin she is The sleeves serve to somewhat hide this.
She's gaunt. I hate the critique of her body (that I'm participating in) but I more hate the idea that extreme thinness is somehow ideal. She was a healthy, thin woman who has gone on to lose another 20+ pounds. This is not good! |

I think she is likely one of those people who isn't especially into food and probably eats less when she's stressed. Unlike some of us who LOVE food and eat a little more when we get stressed.
I have a renter who is very, very, very thin. She does eat, but she eats very healthily. She doesn't eat processed foods, she doesn't eat sweets often and she doesn't drink much alcohol. She does not stress-eat. She also bikes and walks a LOT because she doesn't have a car. Some people are naturally thin and have habits that keep them naturally lean, and I suspect Kate Middleton is one of them. Giuliana Rancic, on the other hand... |
| I don't think she is anorexic, but I do think she would look a little better if she put on 10-ish pounds. As PPs have said, she's aging herself. |
| I don't know if she's anorexic but I do believe she is on a very restrictive diet and probably exercises a couple of hours a day. I don't really care what she looks like but I hate the fact that she's such a mewling paper doll/step ford princess. Have you ever heard her speak? She's just the UK version of the Kardashians except that the Kardashians have created a brand and make their own money. |
You're nuts. I hope I look like that when I'm 40! |
| She's got no curves, no sex appeal. But that doesn't mean she's anorexic necessarily. |
Yup. She was going to be a breath of fresh air to the stuffy monarchy. Didn't happen. She's getting lost in the machinery like everyone before her. |
This. |

She's tiny but doesn't strike me as anorexic at all.
I wonder if all of those describing Kate as anorexic have ever known someone who truly is. |
I was too. I weigh 20 pounds less at age 45 than I did my sophomore year in college. My body completely changed post-grad school...and I've been the same weight (20lbs less) since I was 25. A lot of women have hormonal weight gain--combined with beer and diet issues in college. Most of my girlfriends looked better late 20s than they did in college. I got really skinny in my mid-30s--not trying---after birth of my two kids. I am now back to normal--boobs and butt came back--some pics I was too skinny. I always have worked out 6 days per week. I eat healthy during the week but indulge on weekends---wine, steak, etc. I imagine if I were in the public eye I would indulge less. |
She is also very tall. I am 5'4". Tall women have an easier time. |
| Have you ever met an actual anorexic person? I have. She does not look anorexic. |

I think it's wishful thinking on their part, trying to justify their own fatness. |
