I eat organic the boyfriend does not

I'm always surprised at the vitriol people spew if someone doesn't eat the way they think they should. There is a ton of nastiness on this thread. OP sounds nice and just wanted advice. Food and diets can sink a relationship. I think pp with the meat eating husband has a lovely attitude. We are individuals and should be able to choose our food without snark or judgement, as long as it's actually food. I'm thinking if one partner wants to live off cake and soda, that's worth some honest discussion.

Comprises. Op, I'd do some research and pick your hill to die on. Maybe the dirt dozen, or organic because factory farms are not no horrific for the animals, but absolutely awful for the humans working in them, as well. Then just go non organic for the rest. Something like that.

Organic labeling is good for the consumer. Anyone that would believe what corporations say is an idiot. Their only goal is to make money. Whatever pesticide or chemical that makes them more money they will spray on the produce.

For example, read about methyl bromide and strawberries. The growers kill EVERYTHING in the field by spraying methyl bromide, a poison outlawed by EPA, but with special exemption for strawberries , for someone unknown reason.

The more intelligent we become as consumers, the better produce will be.

You can work this out OP. It's not that big a deal. imagine looking back in 30 years and thinking you let the love of your life slip away because you couldn't resolve your differences over organic vs conventional food.
