Don't be stupid by using scare tactics like "poison" for you pure lazy or cheapness. |
What? Not this PP, but I don't understand what you are trying to say. You know poison is bad, right? |
Oh, please. Are you such an over the top alarmist about everything. Something tells me you are. Give it up and find a hobby for yourself. Live your life. Trying to mind your neighbors business will not end well for you, I promise. |

You do know that people grow dandelions because it is a health food and great in salads?
You can even buy the seeds on Amazon and other seed suppliers. A weed is any plant which is growing where you do not want it to. |
+1 No kidding. I'm sorry you have to be next to the crazy, obsessed neighbor, OP. There is one in almost every neighborhood. Maybe she will focus on someone else, if you ignore her? She may try to deflect, in which case, it is time for you to get a good lawyer. This woman needs to get over it. |

Infestation of people like you, now THAT would be a real problem.

another +10000 My goodness. Is this woman so crazy as to think she *is* the HOA? Sh wis asking for bigger problems than dandelions, that is for sure. |
+100. I've used herbacides and had a beautiful lawn for decades until I read about them. I'm no longer contributing to the destruction of the ecosystem by using this crap. I also fertilize once every two years. Grass is stupid and our clinging to it as a status symbol is pathetic. |
What else would you call a substance whose intended use is to kill something, if not "poison"? |
Oh yea. I can see how that would go over in court. I'd love to hear someone try to sue for this. Back when I worked hard maintaining my lawn, I was surrounded by neighbors who let their lawns go. My yard has dandelions and despite the use of chemicals, they are still there. My lawn is too large for hand pulling. I've never found hand pulling to work btw. So pp, should I sue those neighbors who let their yards go? Then should they sue the farmer who owned the land before it was built or the builder who put low quality grass in? |

Lawns with clover and dandelions and without insecticides are far better than plain turf because they provide food for honeybees. We're all dependent on the honeybee for much of our food, but this year the beekeepers lost about 40% of their colonies over the winter.
If you can't set up a pollinator garden, like the White House, you can at least let the clover and dandelions grow. |
So much ignorance, misinformation and stupidity in this posting I can't even respond. |
| You suburban people agonize and worry about the weirdest stuff. Get some real problems. |
