Neighbor trespassing to pick dandelions - would you be annoyed?

If my neighbor had a yard full of weeds, I'd be upset.

I'm now thinking I should bring her to the suburbs and see if people will pay her to do it!

So does my 7-y-o son. Nobody seems to mind.

PP here: on second thought, when my DS picks dandelions, he's just having fun. Your neighbor is a not-so-benign adult. If a person trespasses on your property for any hostile reason, facing the issue is better than delaying and risking an escalation.

+1

I would call your attorney (the one from the good school) and have them mail a nice letter to your neighbor; divulging *some* of what the issue is. Of course, your attorney could escalate matters as they wish.

Oh, please. It is simply not your business. Hard to believe, I know.

And to the person who thinks they can bill their neighbor for floating seeds? You're an idiot.

Have some respect for your property. And consideration for your neighbors.

of course it is. I look at it everyday. We (our hoa) are asking neighbors to pick up brush and sticks and clear weeds.

Are you an actual HOA, or just in your dreams of making love to George Zimmerman?

He previous attempts show that she's not a very good gardener, as she left the root behind. Surely she knows better? (snark) No one is going to get rid of the dandelions that way! Or send her the suggested banana bread and a dandelion salad. Be sure to tell her the dandelions in her dandelion salad have been treated with huge amounts of DDT and/or Round-up. Bon Appetit!

I doubt she's weeding OP's lawn out of the good of her heart, or even because she wants the lawn to look pretty. She's probably picking off the flowers before they go to seed and blow over to HER yard. No need to get the root for that.

Oh ceremony, this neighbor needs a hobby. We have all had one of those. It is no fun, indeed.

Hell yeah, I would say something to this annoying neighbor.

She is trespassing on your property and if she continues to do so after being asked by you to cease doing so, you will have to take matters into your own hands legally.

I have a toddler who loves dandelions. She loves it when I pick them and blow them after making a wish or two.

When I pick one, I always make sure it is near or on the sidewalk section of the street and even IF I actually did pick one from someone's yard, I would make damn sure that I picked the whole flower, not just the top.

This lady is an inconsiderate nut job. She sounds like she is actually obsessed to the bone about your yard.

This is why I spray a lot of weed barrier between my property and the neighbor's you never know what kind of lazy people will live next to you. Even rich people can be cheap and lazy.

Be careful about keeping the herbicide away from your neighbor's property. If you damage any of their plants, animals, or kids, they could sue.

Using weed killer is lazy. Ypu know it causes harm, but you are too lazy to pull the weeds.

I cannot believe that people are complaining about dandelions. We have neighbors who are letting running bamboo take over thier yard which means we will have to constantly dig put bamboo ( this involves 2 foot holes). We have other neighbors who embrace wildlife and are letting weeds grow several feet. If that's what they want so be it. At least they don't gripe at us for our dandelions and clover.

Spraying poison is by definition lazy -- you're poisoning your yard and your neighbor's because you are too vain to live with a few weeds and too lazy to pull them, which is the right away to remove them.
