Ugh! The show turned into a train wreck. |

Top 5 TV dramas:
Mad Men Sopranos Lost Six Feet Under The Wire |
What? How? I thought the second to last episode and finale from this past season were some of the most suspenseful episodes I have ever seen. |
|
I know why True Detective isn't listed, but since the seasons will be totally stand alone I feel I can honestly say the first season is probably some of the best TV ever...
I have spoken with many fans of the Wire who agree... |
| I agree True Detective is up there with the best. |
|
I vote for Sopranos, FNL, Six Feet Under, and Mad Men.
Also, one of the best shows ever, in terms of writing, fully-fleshed consistent characters, feminist outlook, women-centered plots, and ground-breaking themes/subjects is … don't laugh … Buffy the Vampire Slayer. But that show straddled genres - comedy, campy horror, drama, coming-of-age story. All hail Joss Whedon! Also, more of a dramedy - The Wonder Years. |
| I love many of the shows mentioned here, but the first season of Veronica Mars may be the most perfect season of TV I've seen. I'd also throw Homicide in the mix; I was a fan of NYPD Blue, but it was so formulaic in its crime each week, while Homicide was (realistically) all over the place. |
The first season of Veronica Mars is amazing. But my vote goes the The Wire. Honorable mentions to Friday Night Lights (except the unfortunate first half of the second season) and Six Feet Under. Also loved Deadwood. |
| I'll Fly Away. St Elsewhere. Homicide Life on the Street. |

breaking bad sopranos (in that order) |

FNL is amazing. They way it is filmed and their use of locations and actual individuals makes it feel so incredibly authentic. It is also so, so well cast.
Sopranos is great, so is Breaking Bad, but since my personal preference leans towards stories based on character interaction, FNL beats out Sopranos and BB, which I feel are more plot-line based shows. |
|
Actually, Fargo was incredible TV. Brilliant, actually.
Sopranos BB Fargo Homeland ER fNL |
| I was an ER fan, Breaking Bad and now Walking Dead |

Walking Dead
Game of Thrones NYPD Blue Friday Night Lights Deadwood |
| ER in its early years (Clooney, Edwards, Marguilies), Damages (underrated), In Treatment (even more underrated) |
