They were static. Being conflicted or "complex" doesn't mean that the characters were adequately developed through the series. |
| Another vote for The Wire. |
| I love all these other shows except have never been able to get into the Wire. I stall after a few episodes in S1. I feel like a failure- I know I should love it. I should stick it out right? When does it get good? |
Agreed. |

Fnl yes coach Taylor et al
I had forgotten about NYPD Blue. The only time Rick (y) Schroeder was do-able |
STICK IT OUT Season 1 is very good. They're all good. But they reward patience. |
| BBC's Sherlock |
Mad Men is incredible in many respects. Numerous episodes are practically flawless. But it doesn't hit me emotionally the way many other shows do. It's just a different type of show. |
| The Wire. |
Lol. I forgot Ricky was on that show. Agree that he was great. What happened to him? |
This is me as well. I am smack in the middle of season one, and it is just not grabbing me. I will stick it out but I am disappointed thus far. My vote is The Sopranos, although I liked ER and The West Wing better. |
| Little House on the Prairie! |
| The West Wing |
| Lost. unique show |
|
The Wire is the best show ever. All you people passing it over for The Sopranos are just excited to be "close" to some glorified mob life.
Is Game of Thrones a drama or fantasy? That show is frickin awesome. Cannot wait for Sunday!! |
