You must be so unhappy in your life to post such drivel. Sorry things didn't work out as you'd hoped. |
| Nope. Just saying it like it is. Happy our kids had better choices. Cheers! |
That's ridiculous. I didn't go to Davidson, but it's an excellent school. I had several Davidson grads in my law school class at Harvard, so they're no slouches. You're a nasty, gross person. |
Yeah, me neither. Outdoorsy Dems, among the ones i know. |
| Me too! |
|
I went to Swarthmore, and our view of Davidson was "like Swarthmore, but southern". I think that's fair.
Btw, I got a far better education at Swarthmore than my DH did at his H/Y/P undergrad. SLAC's rock. |
Agree with you. PP is a textbook sad loser. Doesn't matter where his/her kids went. |
| Lots of Muffys on here tonight. |
W&L is a very good school too. Hard to get into though! |
Better choices? I thought Davidson was in the top 10 SLACs? I guess PP means HIGHER than that! OMG -- Ivies, I guess! |
Oh, OK. I guess Swarthmore and Harvard are "Muffy"-land too, then. You're so clueless. |
I went to an Ivy, and I'm not convinced it's better than the great SLACs. Same level of intellectual rigor, but more professor interaction and less backstabbing. THat's what I've gathered by comparing experiences with friends anyway. |
My childhood neighbor was a highly successful Swarthmore grad. My sister & I used to babysit for her kids &, knowing we were both strong students who would likely thrive there, she'd often do things like (somewhat jokingly) add "plus Swarthmore, obviously" whenever we mentioned which colleges we were considering applying to. Neither of us ended up going there but she appeared to take some consolation in the fact that my sister ultimately decided on Davidson or, as our neighbor called it, "Swarthmore South"
