No idea. It's pretty weird.

Agree. My 10 yo DS would never get out. Oh course he has ADHD and who knows WHAT he is doing in there. Probably not actually washing his hair. I think 40 min is WAAAy too long and a total waste of water. We had to buy a visual timer for that bathroom--sometimes he uses it, otherwise we pound on the door.

She has very long, thick hair that takes more than 10 minutes just to wash, condition, comb, and rinse. Who could take a 7-minute shower?? Even my best efforts at a quick shower run about 12 minutes.

A 45-minute shower? That's over 100 gallons of water. How big is your water heater?

In answer to "who could take a 7-minute shower?", the answer is: me. In fact, I can take a five-minute shower, without hurrying. No, I'm not asking for a medal. I'm stating a fact.

She is not experienced enough to get off in 7 minutes though.

I think 10 minutes is plenty of time to get clean and wash hair.
Give her a timer in the bathroom set to 10 minutes.

Clearly some of your families have ENORMOUS water heaters.

I like showers. I start to feel guilty after around 8 minutes of water use. Sure, I can afford the water, but I don't like to be wasteful.

10-15 minutes is plenty long for a shower. Unless they're turning on the water, spending some "personal time" while the water runs, and then actually getting into the business of showering, then it may take a little longer. Although for a 12 year old boy, probably not much more than a minute or two.

This is very strange and confusing. Did the OP C&P responses from here, over there under different user names?

She shares a room with her sister. Where else could she go to get some privacy? And no, the need for privacy has nothing to do with whether she is comfortable being naked around her family. Nudists like to be alone sometimes too.

Leave her alone already! Talk about the NSA in the house!

By 13, I had (for a few years already) been enjoying 15-20 minute showers and my parents never said a thing nor disturbed my privacy.

And YES the massage shower head was being used for what a girl SHOULD use it for LOL! Why else do they make them that way??? It was my first boyfriend and I remain forever thankful!!!

So what is the pervy OP's deal? Likes little girls (a 12 YO, if he actually had one, would in middle school, which is not a peak age for being a fairy princess) but thinks it's somehow more acceptable to be fantasizing about a girl old enough to have breast buds?
