Anyone at the Yu Ying lottery?

True at YY and probably everywhere: the best way to get your K or 1st grader in, is to get your PreS/PreKer in.

I am totally curious what my 8:10 time stamp will yield for waitlist number.

Can't wait to find out my WL number either!

Even then, there are no slots open for either rising first or K classes. Sibling preference will get you at the top of the waitlist, but likely no opening to move into.

I remember thinking that same thing last year - and being very surprised with a 115 WL number. Ah well.

Wow, that is amazing. I will report back and let you know what it is this year! I tried to get in online at 8, but I couldn't get through the to site until 8:10. For next year, I will definitely be going and waiting in line if they allow it (kind of doubt that the PCSB will let them do it, given that someone paid a line stander this year).

Really? Last year I applied at about 8:40am or 8:45am. I completely forgot. My WL number was in the 50s. Still no chance, but not hundreds in front of me.

Don't bother. I stood in line and got 809 or something like that. It took them a while to process the applications in person.

The results are up.

Interesting that LAMB had more applicants, at least in PK3

I forgot about lottery day, and didn't get on until 10 or so. Still under #100.

Not too surprising. Until recently, Yu Ying wasn't sure there would be a PK3 and they pretty adamant that if there were a class, there would be no non-sib spots.

I wish they would add a PK4 class, I really do.

I don't think that's going to happen. They would need to add two to keep the English-Mandarin balance.
