| Oh man. Wish they could make more YYs! |
| I wonder if either wait list will move AT ALL? |
Sorry, guys. This sucks.
|
Probably not, or not much…maybe one or two slots? |
| in the past the WL has moved has moved a lot. We got in with a wait list number in the 60s. Not sure with the new joint systems for lotteries this year. |
Like I thought. Its possible for a PK3 to have a PK4 sibling. Just our luck....ugh |
| So apparently yu ying does not have a one child policy. |
| ^^yowsa |
That had to be two years ago/close to when they first opened. |
I think those days are gone. Last year the wait list only went to 19, I think. This year looks like it could be even tighter. |
+1. I can't get over the # of sibs/founders. YY prek4 last yr had ~35 spots for the lottery. This yr there is 9!?! Given 72-76 students in prek4, they have 63-67 sibs! |
| the siblings numbers do seem high, but if you consider all grade 1-5 X4 classes each, that is pretty reasonable. |
| those days could be gone. I checked. It wasn't in the 60s, we were 49 on the list. it was 2 years ago but the school had been open a while. We didn't find out until the first week of school. Just saying that it did/does move. |
|
the 1st grade class this year has over 120 students. it is a bubble class hence lots of little siblings
|
Janney filled their traditional 3 PKs with all siblings this year (58). They ended up adding a 4th because the principal was concerned about discriminating against only children. Once these popular schools get to be a certain size, they can fill the early childhood years with only siblings. |
