Please share with me all the details. Be specific. Go for the ES.

I'm sorry, DCUM does not give ES grades. It was a forum-wide decision. Proficiency is the goal., that's it

LOL. People need to lighten-up. Moms complaining about the snow days still love their kids, the ones criticizing them need to gain a sense of humor and let everyone have a laugh and a sigh. Don't you laugh when you see the Target back-to-school commercial "It's the most wonderful time of the year!" Come on people

And thus you are a rational adult, as opposed to the juvenile goody gumdrops posters.

The DC Metro is fortunate to have 4 lovely seasons and one of the least weather-related deaths from weather areas in the entire country. Rare to see flash floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards, severe heat that kill people. So when a few inches come in or it hits 100 degrees a few days, everyone can not just deal around here.

And I didn't realize people that like snow, sledding, skiing or having a few days of downtime with their kids are juvenile. I guess I rather be juvenile than a crabby old lady complaining at things she can not change. Waste of energy. Put that towards something positive. You might feel a little better about life.

These comments are pointless. A lot of landscapers, tree removal services, snow plowers, shovelers and utility people make a living off the snow in the winter. If we didn't have snow someone would complain about their lost wages.

I can not believe how many people are complaining. It was barely a foot of snow. Most areas were cleared within 24hrs. Schools always close a few days every year. So it was 2-3 more this year. In the grand scheme of it all, the lost wages of some people for 0.85% days of the year is ridiculous.
