SNOW Mon Night??

Even my husband, who loves snow more than pretty much anyone, is over it this weekend. I love my kids and while I can think up a million fun ideas for time at home, I can't magically be a preschool classroom full of friends. Enough, winter!

And that's your opinion and you're entitled to it. It doesn't make you a douche.

But this leads me to be labeled an idiot, immature, and a douchebag. A douchebag bc we have different feelings about snow. And bc I try to look on positive side of days off from school. The funny thing is we've seen a lot of friends over the last five days at home and not one person has complained about the snow and closed schools but the folks on this board. Everyone else I know is like me making the most of it. So awesome bc there was no loss of power which I agree would have been a bummer.

Well, you aren't just looking on the bright side of no school, you're actively hoping for it. I certainly don't think you are an idiot or dbag for goodness sakes. I just disagree with you and think its time to get the kids back in school. At this point, things need to return to normal!

I was just watching the news which lowered the forecast for the whole area to Lt 1 inch...nbc I think.

That can't be grounds for keeping the schools closed but the problem is the snow will start in the middle of the night making it tricky to get cleaned up, if there is any need for cleanup. I suspect a delay and think it will be totally unnecessary.

B/c DH built a snow run for the kids to sled down and it has hardened to perfection and the kids are outside squealing and sledding with delight? We didn't lose power, no car accidents, no toilet paper emergencies. Just a lot of family time, cooking and baking, drawing and reading, movies and video games, laundry and chores, internet shopping, and hot chocolate. OK, I'm an idiot, but a happy one with a clean house, fresh laundry, an awesome family, and the beneficiary of some much-needed down time. And you're what?

I'm the poster from one of the other threads who has had no heat since Wednesday night. My house is totally freezing and my street is juuuuust passable enough right now to get out when we have to. I am terrified the pipes are going to freeze as there is no residual warmth in my house. My son has been plopped in front of screens with space heaters to keep him in a warm place while we wiat for estimates, quotes, and repairmen. We need to get out of this house tomorrow and put him in school. Any more cold, snow, or ice and I will finish the rest of my nervous breakdown. We just have to make I through to the 50 degree weather tomorrow afternoon.

The idiots with the fresh laundry and oh-so-awesome families don't give a sh*t about people like you. They just want to let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Goody gumdrops!

I'm the "idiot" that your kind keeps bashing. An idiot is a halfwit, someone who isn't very bright. You are blaming me and my kind who like snow for causing other people like you to suffer. My enjoyment of snow caused someone's hvac to break down. My laundry and family was at the expense of your well-being. Somehow I think you got confused along the way. By your reasoning you're the idiot and I am all powerful!! Now it's definitely going to snow. Get ready for it and call out tomorrow bc schools will be closed. You shouldn't have ceded all that power to me.
