PP, for me, you're the most impressive poster on this thread. You have an almost 50% marriage rate!

40yo woman, 4 guys (2 boyfriends, 1 FWB, DH), no abortions, 3 kids

I don't necessarily wish I'd slept with more people, but I definitely wish I'd hooked up with more. I've only kissed like 7 guys so if someone kissed me there was good chance they were getting laid.

DH was my first, but we broke up for a year. Slept with about 12 or 13 guys in that time span.

I literally stopped counting after 30

Ditto. No abortions, no diseases, happily married for 15 years now with 3 kids. Sometimes I do miss those days but certainly do not have the energy or libido now....

I'm really surprised by the # of women who have slept with other women. I honestly had no idea that it was that common!

DH and I were very young college sweethearts who married each other. We have only slept with each other. Having good sex is not rocket science. People around the world are doing it.

Our sex life is hot (we are in our 40s), and reading DCUM has made us realize that we may be the minority here. We are adventurous, playful, horny and prioritize our relationship over all other. The key is communication and now there is enough "how-to" tutorials, books, magazines and free porn on the internet - that one can learn if one wants to.

You could have slept with 15 lousy lovers and would have learnt nothing!!

What an odd statement. How is that impressive? There are actually women out there who have no sexual desire for other women

You're an idiot PP.

You're confusing quantity with quality.

Most people who lack experience also lack skills.

I think it was somewhere around 15 men and one woman. This was almost entirely in college--all but around three...one in late high school, and two (one of whom is DH) after college. I went to a very socially liberal SLAC where there was a tight knit community and not a lot of slut shaming, and where people were very conscientious about using protection. Didn't get any diseases (well except one abnormal pap from HPV, which something like 90% of the adult community has--which cleared up on its own without intervention) and never got pregnant. There were relationships, one night stands, "fuck buddies," and everything in between. I don't regret it at all. I learned a lot about myself in those years, and a small college community was a relatively safe space to explore my sexuality. I met DH when I was 22, my first year of my PhD, and by that point I knew myself and what I wanted in terms of a partner and sexually what I needed pretty well, and we got married at 24. I don't think I would have been as ready to "settle down" so early if I hadn't spent those years in college exploring that side of myself and my sexuality. When I got married people always asked about whether I regretted not having more time to experience other sexual relationships, and I was like "you have NO idea how wild I was in college."

DH knows about my past and doesn't care.
